Yggsburgh/EastMark trivia game

Post by Tadhg »

So our friend Merric got something like this started on DF (from something on the Necro boards).

Ask a question about this subject and the winning answer poster gets to ask the next question.

Feel free to open the Yggsburgh book to find the answer!!

Soo, for all interested, I'll start:
"Where in the Eastmark can one find the best 'black silver' truffles?"

Bonus question - value of same?

Enjoy!!!

Why, that would be at Cirrem's "Truffle Emporium", which can be found under the Townbridge, but only upon nights when the moon is full and reflects off the water. When you dive in, you will be escorted to the premises by two water fay and be taken to the Dreamer-Minstrel himself.

Your selection of truffles must be paid for in silver, as Cirrem never handles gold if he can avoid it. The prized Black-Silver truffles are never sold for less than 500 YSP apiece, unless you can present Cirrem with a song or story which he has not heard before, in which case he will gift you with 5-8 truffles free of charge.

Upon leaving the Emporium, you will awake in your bed with the truffles on a silver plate beside you; the plate will disappear once the truffles are removed from it or no more than an hour later in any case.

###

No, I have no idea. I'll have a look later if I get a chance!
Cheers!

Haha, nice bluff (it could have fooled me if he said it's in one of the expansion modules), but it brings up a point or 2.

For this little game, we should only use the CZ Yggsburgh book and not the expansion modules (yet) since not everyone has those. And I'll assume that everyone has the book.

Also, it might be easier if we ask a question about either the city itself or of the environs around Yggs, i.e. the Eastmark.

So, I'll edit my question above for a clearer idea of what I'm asking.

On with the game . . .

Well, I'm sure if everyone has it yet, there are a few new things added. But I suppose those that don't won't be able to answer certain questions. On the other hand, the vast majority of questions will be from the book.

So what heck, we can include it.

Why, The Wynchwood Forest, of course!

And for the bonus question...approximately 20gp, assuming a three-pound haul.

Thank you kind sir.

I'm much better at answering than asking! But here goes...

He runs the shoppe that shares its building with another business, a store by the name of Keeping the Faith. Who is this person, and what is he the proprietor of?

Arrgh. I suck at this (the AD&D one at the Delver's Dungeon is hard enough). Are we allowed to look in the book(s) or do we have to recall from memory?

I'm guessing that most of us - or at least, myself - will have to access the book. I know some of the stuff, but not all of, by any means.
