Hello from Korea!

Post by Korean Knight »

Hello from a new fan. I've been a gamer since '82 and even though I don't have group here I got my son and his friends into the hobby. I pledged the $99 level for the Amazing Adventures game with the Castles & Crusades Players book and thrilled to see the package when it arrives!

Welcome Home! At least, I feel like this is a sort-of internet home for me, and I think you will find the same.

Cheers!

I like that. Not going to use it because I like mine better, but I do like that idea. -Treebore, summing up most home designers' philosophy

Welcome

This is one of the best boards I've seen. We may have a few curmudgeons, but all in all a great group to talk, share ideas and then steel others ideal that are better then mine!

I have to ask, how did you get to Korea? Are you military?

Well, again, welcome!

Hello Guy!

I was stationed in Seoul, at Yongsan, from 2003-2004 and greatly enjoyed my time in the Land of Morning Calm. I recently traveled back to Korea on a business trip and it was just as wonderful of a place as I remembered. :)

Welcome to the fold. Castles and Crusades is an awesome game that gives you the core "D&D" experience without muddying the waters with a bunch of rules bloat. It's a streamlined, fast and fun game and that's why most of us here like it.

I too am anxiously awaiting Amazing Adventures goodies arrival. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Really.

I spent my first 9 years in Taegu, then 2 in Daejeon and the rest near Seoul. I've been training in different martial arts in part for research for an ancient Korean rpg I'd like to design. Perhaps even a sourcebook for an existing rpg. I heard good things about C&C so I'm waiting to read through the basic rules and see if it meshes well with what I want to represent.

Nice! I've always wanted to see a good updated OE, especially one that is more than just Japanese centric.
