Re: Adventurer's Backpack...
I've found the new Druid spell Open Sinkhole (1st lvl) a real challenge. It opens up a sinkhole 10-20 feet deep and 20ft +5' per level. It can be cast under foes so they drop into the hole and take falling damage, plus are now trapped at the bottom of essentially a large pit trap. My players have us...

Re: What gaming stuff are you reading?
Yggsburg is great! Ran a game through there some years back and got my players through the Upper Works before Gygax died and the IP dried up. I'm still bummed the Trolls were never able to finish all the town neighborhood Free Town of Yggsburgh supplements. Loved those. With those and just the Upper...

Fun ideas for a game. Here's a link to see what the movie is about, I hadn't heard about it before either. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Sleep_(2019_film)

If you don't already have the CKG, then yes this kickstarter will be worth it. At least, as long as you are the CK in your group. One of the best GM books on the market, I think. You will find a ton of stuff to enhance your games.

I'm in. Love the new cover, excited about an updated and expanded index, especially when the Adventurer's Backpack is included. The chart folio will be great too.

Not yet. I did the 7th ed kickstarter and bought a bunch of stuff since, including World War Cthulu, and Pulp cthulhu, but until recently I hadn't anyone in my group interested in playing it. They like C&C too much. I've also read all the Lovecraft stories.

My home brew stuff is on my Discord server, but I've limited access for now. Also in the process of adding a few more races to the soup that folks should find fairly fun. How can I find this on Discord? I can't see how to download anything. Or maybe I should just pm you? If you're still willing to ...

Could be a good compromise and certainly wont' 'break' the game in any way.Captain_K wrote:might be why many house rule all class abilities are treated as prime +6.
A possible in between could be all class abilities if not prime get a +3.

Re: Prime vs Non-Prime
So I'm good with prime abilities get +6 with level and class abilities without prime get only level and most classes should not get chance to get into other class abilities. ..... This is how I run my games, and reflects my understanding of the rules. Though, by agreement of my gaming group, we are...

Repost of Steve's latest facebook update for upcoming books
Just a rambling post on this late Saturday night. Though our attention seems to be on 5E products of late, its not the whole story. Davis Chenault and I are very focused on C&C & Aihrde. Here's what we are up to. Davis wrapped up Dens of Iniquity (though he still has a little on the primer I think) ...

Sounds awesome. What rules/game are you using for this? My two boys might find this fun too. Thanks. Piquet as the master rules with the Archon supplement to modify the rules from the standard 'Napoleon' focus to the ancient timeframe. From all the war game rules I've used over the years, I like Pi...

Howdy! John, here. Harvesters is the first adventure and was designed for 1st-3rd lvl characters. Both Black Tim's Prize and Lost Rats Gold are in the 2-4, 3-5 lvl range, depending on what you need, adjust as needed. Talked to Steve about that "oops" and it will soon be fixed. Lost Rats Gold can be...

Re: Amazing Adventures - Star Siege
Not having had it myself, it was what had been said by others that had and had played it. If that information was wrong, it's wrong. But it sounds more like it was simply a framework when stated in that manner. I'm not sure what "simply a framework" means, but, I can state that the intent behind my...

Harvesters questions again. Will the Wheat Hollow Gazetteer ever get published? It just missed as a stretch goal, but would be extremely useful for my boys to make their own adventures. Harvesters' question
Hey Trolls, I just got my Harvesters kickstarted box. My 6 & 8 year old boys are eager to play. Looks like some fun stuff. But I’ve a question on the adventures. Only Lost Fang’s Gold notes # of characters (3-5) and for what levels (2-4). I can’t seem to find this info for Wheat Hollow or Black Tim’...

Bump. This is an old thread, but full of some fun, creative writing about Gary Gygax's Yggsburgh campaign. A pity the license was pulled from the Trolls when Gary died. Figured anyone new to the thread might want to check this all out. Copies of Yggsburgh still float around on Ebay, and other places...

Re: Monsters & Treasure 5th printing
Check out p. 126 for the Barghest. They have it classified as a Fey, and spelled a bit different. Not a fan of this new take on it. No idea on the Bag-o-Bones, although I do recall Stephen saying it would be in the M&T. Oh, seems an odd place to put it but glad they didn't miss the Barghest. Thanks...
