I didn't see this on an earlier post but are their options to buy an earlier print PHB, particularly 3rd print?

Re: Alternative to the SIEGE system
I looked at the 15, +3/-3 style and it worked for some pathfinder players. But I don't know, the 18/12 feels more 'AD&D' or nostalgic to me. The only thing I would change is spells & spell like effects CB was 18/12 +spell level & wizard mod or 1/2 monster HD (round up) to make some survivability vs....

Re: Crusader's Companion Necromancer
The latter pdf (created by Peter on 05/11) has wizard school specialists on pg. 46/47. The former pdf (created by Reaper on 04/13) seems to simply talk about necromancy spells. Seems like two different takes on the companion. I'm not sure if it's the same Peter but there was an update from 2018: htt...

Re: Experience in general
I don't think milestones work well with RPGs with XP level differentials. AT the end of my 2e days we used blocks of XP per adventure. So a level one adventure would be 500-1000 xp, or level one of a dungeon would be 2000 or 2500xp (i think we were using the fighter xp as a baseline). That let the p...

Re: Use of Deities
For AD&D2e I was using no Gods at all (ancient cataclysm forced them to sleep) & had no clerics. With C&C I made Cyrstal Mages (using crystal pieces of the third moon that broke up and fell onto the world) which had cleric spells, bth, but bard abilities . Recently I found an old OD&D folder I had w...

Quick & Dirty C&C Middle-Earth work
<t>My wife wanted to play a Middle-Earth game and likes the C&C rules. I am trying to keep the classes primarily as is with a few name changes here and there. Of course the magic classes are the big ones but I wanted to get some opinions on them:<br/> <br/> Druid --> Wizard<br/> <br/> -(animal s...

Gaming Podcast with C&C rules
Not sure where to put this but...
What are the stipulations on using the C&C rule set for an RPG podcast?
I did not see info on the website unless I missed it (which is very likely).

Secondary and General Skills
I was wondering about CKs experiences with using some sort of defined skill set. I am debating whether or not it is worth the trouble including them, making a character sheet, etc.
