Spell Resistance help?
<t>Just wondering if we are running SR correctly. The rules (3rd ed PHB) state that SR is like an armor class against spells. So, if a creature has (say) SR 5, does a spellcaster make a flat d20 roll, and his spell fails on a 1-4?<br/> <br/> Previously I ran it as a SIEGE check, with the SR equallin...

<t>Thanks all!<br/> <br/> Re: the multiple attacks, the spell specifies that the polymorph form does not get extra attacks "just because the creature type transformed and [sic] naturally has extra limbs, wings, or a tail." That supports the idea that special, but natural, abilities that can provide ...

Totem Shape, Polymorph and 'extraordinary abilities'...
<t>Looking for opinions here. The Druid's Totem Shape ability says that it "operates like the spell polymorph self". That spell (actually polymorph self/other) says, in part: "The polymorphed caster acquires the physical and natural abilities of the new form... Physical and natural abilities do not ...

Magic weapon against gaseous form?
<t>The gaseous form spell says that the subject becomes "immune to any<br/> <br/> attacks that are not magical in nature (such as the strikes of spells and clearly<br/> <br/> supernatural abilities)".<br/> <br/> When a heavily wounded Ogre Mage assumed gaseous form, and a PC made a very good roll to...

<t>- Per the errata, doesn't a container halve the EV of its contents, not subtract 2?<br/> <br/> - Call it 60,000 coins or 6, a half a cubic foot of gold weighs 600 lbs, and will sink a barrel of the dimensions described, or more likely just bust right through the bottom. Just sayin'. <br/> - If th...

<t>Heh. GMing, I do occasionally mention how smelly and "travel-stained" the PCs are, but it never makes the players happy. My current Ylaraum Dervish doesn't shave or cut his hair and considers bathing to be something that happens when it rains -- not often, in the badlands. The other players act o...

<t>Analogizing from nails (small loose metal bits), one pound = 1 EV. Using the one-ounce coin value that's 16 coins = 1 EV. (You could assume troy ounces and about 15 coins = 1 EV if you find that math easier.)<br/> <br/> However, in our games, coins are much smaller: more like US dimes than Kruger...

Divine scroll use with INT or WIS?
Heya.
This came up last night, with a 2nd-level Druid trying to read a scroll of a 2nd-level spell. Even though it's divine magic, does he roll INT to use the scroll properly (a crappy score), or can he use WIS (high & prime)?
Thanks!
