Online Gaming UNCon on June 1st-June 3rd

Apologies if I am posting this in the wrong place... Fans of HackMaster, Aces & Eights, and other KenzerCo games will be running an 'UNCon' to coincide with Origins this year. We'll be running games online via programs like Google +, MapTools and Ventrilo. All you need is a microphone and a half-dec...

Re: (HM) I'm looking for a player or two for a MapTools game

Bump to say - my game filled up quickly, but a new game opened up that is being played on Sunday afternoons. Please PM me if you're interested and I will put you in touch with the GM in charge. It is a MapTools game that is being run using Vent or Skype.

(HM) I'm looking for a player or two for a MapTools game

Greetings. I've been running a HackMaster campaign on MapTools for about 10 months now. Due to a few unfortunate circumstances (health and the pursuit of a PhD), I'm losing a couple of my players. I could recruit on the Kenzer forums, but I'd love to welcome some HackMaster rookies to try out the ga...

Re: For the love of Gygax (East Corner PDF?)

I think that sooner or later, one way or another, we'll see the bulk of his work. I don't know if Gail Gygax is sitting on his notes expecting an amazing offer, or if it's just not something she "needs to do" right now. In any case, sooner or later the price will drop (if it's expensive) or she'll g...

Memorial Weekend Online Convention

Greetings, Troll Lorders... A gamer friend of mine from the Kenzer Co forums is having a Memorial Day Weekend Online Convention through MapTools. At this point, there are a variety of scheduled games, and it's presumably not too late to schedule even more if you want to roll out some C&C. You can re...

Re: 0e and my neverending loup

I've always thought it'd be fun to run a mega 3/3.5 campaign using all of the books - Eberron, Dragonlance, Ravenloft, FR, Kalamar, Oriental Adventures, not to mention the many class books that came out - to see how all of the player classes would mix. Another fun experiment I wish I could run woul...

I play HackMaster (Wed night, in the same campaign as TreeBore) and once a month or so, whenever I get back to the States, I play Dark Heresy.

I'm still trying to either get a Solomon Kane game going, or finding one I can join. In other words, SW has a lot of cool stuff done for it! Well worth stealing for other RPG's at the very least! Hey TreeBore - I've talked to Pana and am joining the game when it starts up again, but he was scare on the specs of the program. Which version of MapTools is in use, and do I need a specific version of Skype?

Re: Currently Read RPG Books / Resources

I'm presently proofreading Kenzer & Co's Hacklopedia of Beasts. I know, I keep talking up this product -- it's super awesome. I've also been reading the C&C Player's Guide. I'm planning on rolling up every character type in the near future, and then I'm going to turn my attention to Airdhe, as I am ...

Re: What RPG products are you looking forward to in 2011?

I'll admit that I'm getting kind of tired of really thick hardback rulebooks. Remember when rulebooks were tiny? Homes Basic D&D was 48 pages? Mentzer B/X (rules for levels 1-14) was 176 pages divided into 3 rulebooks of 64 (Basic Player), 48 (Basic GM), and 64 (Expert) pages? For me, it's an eithe...

Re: What RPG products are you looking forward to in 2011?

Mostly, the dead tree version of the Hacklopedia of Beasts, and anything else Kenzer releases. Yeah, the Kenzer stuff is very well written, but dear Lord, does some of it get expensive! $59.99 for the Hacklopedia. Insane. Gonna have to wait for it to hit eBay before I'll be able to grab a copy. For...

Especially since -- from what I've been told by a friend who coincidentally frequents this forum -- more than just a few were finished and never published. I know they had a ton of Yggsburgh planned out ... I wonder about just how many they actually received final copy on?

No sir, I have that. I'm talking about the East Corner, which was a section of Yggsburgh that only ever made it to pdf before TLG had the rug yanked from under them.
