Re: Gary Con XI

No, although it is inspired by historical conquistadors. It originally was a sub-level I designed for use in Stonehell.

C&C White Box at GenCon

I didn't feel like dragging a whole bunch of books with me to GenCon this year, so I ran my two C&C games out of the White Box. I forgot how much I love running with just this set. It was so quick and easy. It went over really well with the players too. I think I may go back to using just this a...

C&C in DC/NOVA Area

I am getting transferred to Crystal City, VA in the next few months. After running a C&C game in NJ I moved to Southern Maryland where I could not really run C&C due to their already being two D&D-style games at the store. I am looking to get a C&C game going, or join one in progress...

Free City of Eskadia PbP or chat

Is there any interest in a Free City of Eskadia Play by Post C&C game? I am envisioning a sandbox game with a band of rogues trying to make their fortune based out of the city. I could run it either play by post or in a chat that has a dice roller.

Re: Suggestions for a megadungeon

I suggest Stonehell. I ran an OSRIC Stonehell game for close to three years, and we had a really good time with it. It uses the one page dungeon format, this makes it really easy to use in play since the room descriptions are on the same page as the map. I found there to be plenty of strange rooms a...

Re: preparing to run an adventure

I usually write down all of the vital monster stats AC, hit bonuses, hit points etc on an index card, I do the same for the PCs. I create the monster index cards ahead of time. I then put the index cards in initiative order and use them to track initiative during the encounter. I track current HP ri...

Southern Maryland Gaming

I moved to Southern MD about a year ago, and have not had a lot of luck finding a group. There is one local game store, Big Larry's comics, but it is mostly 4e and Pathfinder. I live in the Lexington Park area, but I am willing to travel up to Waldorf or across the Solomon's Island bridge if necessa...

Re: The One Ring RPG: New LOTR RPG

I loved MERP. I got my start in RPGs with the Tolkien Quest game books. We finished them all and then took the rules out and made our own adventures. We were always puzzled by the "MERP stats" included in the book. The numbers seemed really high, so we assumed that game must be bad ass. Fi...

Re: Google map for C&C and a poll: Please read

I found my current Pathfinder group through a similar map (I think it was on Obsidian Portal or something). Having one that is C&C specific would be great, especially here in South Jersey where there are so many "secret" gamers.

Re: Castle of the Mad Archmage to be published...

I met Joe at last year's DexCon, through his invasion of the Grognards, and he is a really nice guy. I am really looking forward to this as I really enjoyed reading through the free version. I even printed it out as a booklet so I could stealth read it in class. I found it to be very good at capturi...
