Re: The german influence on names in C&C

I actually like them. To me, they seem darker, more sinister. Then again, maybe that's my old-school remembrances of Warhammer FRP. I've always been a low fantasy guy myself.

Re: C&C Ravenloft

Always been a big Ravenloft fan. One of my funnest campaigns to run started as a Ravenloft game I planned using 1E. The players Tried to through a cog in my works by making Oriental adventure characters. All samurai, At first I thought about saying no and making them reroll. But at the last moment ...

Re: Epic6 & Gritty6 (2 blog reposts)

Interesting take on things. If someone rolls snake eyes for hitpoints, though, they're boned...? I've never liked the idea of hit points, either, to tell you the truth. Sure, I know it represents the idea of a person taking damage from fatigue, blood loss, contusions, etc. It also takes in to accoun...

Re: C&C Conan complete

This is freaking awesome. AWESOME. Seriously, I love the low magic, Conan-esque setting. I played the D20 Conan game from Mongoose for a while. The players loved it, but it was a bit clunky. Oh well! This looks like just the thing to throw back to Conan. Poniard, check. Square cut mane, check. Adven...

Re: Hello! First post in the forum, and a question.

Thank you O Trollish ones! Great breakdown. Yeah I've been rereading and checking out the adventures I plan to run. Having a fighter would be nice. We'll see how the other players choose their classes. Maybe we'll get one yet. I think sometimes people go for the "shiny" aspect of classes. That's wha...

Re: Hello! First post in the forum, and a question.

Hey great, some quick responses. -Red- Yeah we'll see if we need to, CKG is my next purchase. I'll check it out. -Zara- Yeah we noted those, but only deerstalker and primeval instincts. The whirlwind, primeval will, intimidate, have no armor restrictions. Whirlwind is pretty awesome. I like the idea...

Hello! First post in the forum, and a question.

Hello all, first post! I just got an e-mail with the $20 offer from TLG for players handbook + monster manual (and an adventure to boot). I couldn't help myself. I ordered, even though I had a previous version (tan cover). Over on Dragons foot I had a few posts, including an adventure log which died...
