Your game was last week, why a game last night? Did I miss something?

Re: Fate system ?

I don't have a lot of experience with the Fate system but I ran a Dresden Files inspired game set in current day Austin and really really liked it. People call it a narrative system as if that would somehow exclude action. I am not of the opinion that a game has to fit in one or the other box. I thi...

I'll make a handout with a list of townspeople and their professions. Their skills and materials will be available to ...

Well done, Goblins. You put a stop to Matthew Hopkins (the Gob Finder General); rescued two elders from a burning hospital; and, freed Margaret from being hanged. People Town thinks you are heroes. But don't start playing the Ewok song yet. A difficult choice waits. You only have one cure disease po...

Speaking of which ... Rhuvein you will need to invent a neutral or good god that you get your powers from. Chaotic good. Follows Maglubiyet (Greater god) and Khurgorbaeyag (lesser) ~ from the AD&D 2nd E Monster Mythology book. I just choose their names and don't necessarily follow of the detail...

So many great ideas and thoughts. Thank you. I decided my character would tend to err on the side of pragmatism starting with openly addressing any elephants in the room (in this case the torture of a child) and to set some personal boundaries. But I see that Treebore's insight is absolutely correct...

Playing with Evil Characters

Plenty of advice online about how to play an evil character but much less on how to play alongside one. Looking for ideas on: 1. Why would my neutral character bother hanging with this person? Motivation ideas, please! This becomes an even trickier problem for those aligned as good I reckon. 2. How ...
