Re: Hobgoblins as a playable race.
Downside being that while I own the 1980's boxed set for KoK I don't have the D20 version. I could tell you about Hobgoblin's linguistic structure according to KoK but there are no stats.

Hobgoblins as a playable race.
Wanted to get some opinions on this writeup for Hobgoblins I'd want to integrate into a PbP I'll be running soon. I think I've hit the tone I'm kinda aiming for but they feel a little underwhelming... Any suggestions would be welcome. Hobgoblins are not by definition evil. They are extremely lawful,...

Need ideas for a one shot Stat!
<t>Hey, first of all, hopefully this is the right forum. Second, wondering if I might pick the collective brains of the C&C fans here. I need a one shot by this Sunday (the 9th). I cross posted this on Dragonsfoot but figured I'd try here too.<br/> <br/> An old member of my gaming group is going...

<t>@Treebore: my only issue with your method would probably come down to bookkeeping. Keeping track of a bunch of different spells and how many times they've been sucessfully cast might be a bit of a pain.<br/> <br/> Also then magic would theoretically open up to anyone. I really want to keep it a s...

<t>Just to clarify, to in the spirit of KISS a first level spell costs 1 PP, a second level spell costs 2, a third level spell costs 3, ect. Also the spells themselves will be drawn from the different spellcasting styles but it will be a very limited list. It doesnt mean you can crack open the PHB a...

Crazy, perhaps stupid magic idea. Need help
<t>This is crossposted on DF but I'd really like to get all the input I can on this so...<br/> <br/> I'm in the process of outlining a campaign for C&C and the more I look at it, the more I realize that the idea of Vancian magic just won't work for it, even if wizards were really rare. <br/> <br...

<t>actually I had some time to kill yesterday so I mucked about and did my own version in Word. I borrowed the overall layout and artwork from your sheet though so thanks!<br/> <br...

who are the iconic bad guys of your campaign world?
<t>Forgotten Realms has it's drow, Middle Earth has the Orcs and Uruk-Hai, Wheel of Time has Trollocs, and Shanara has Gnomes to name a few. Nearly every world has a badguy that the author has taken and made his own. Who are the badguys of your world?<br/> <br/> In the campaign that I'm working on I...

<t>not a bad idea... brainstorming here but perhaps if at the begining of each session players make a luck check. If it passes they gain a point of luck up to their maximum, a natural 20 restores their luck to it's maximum value, a failure means they loose a point of luck, and a natural 1 means that...

<t>One other interesting aspect of a luck stat is it could mechanically alter the circumstances a character would find him in. Say the party bard has been caught in bed with the baron's daughter. A quick roll of the luck stat could determine what kind of response he gets. A natural 20 could mean tha...
