Re: Didgeridoo
It's eucalypt wood. It can be quite hard, but with it being hollow the fear was it being a bit fragile, but as you say....nothing a Druid can't fix.

Re: Didgeridoo
My group were debating this last night....all Aussies. They all felt it is a d6 and if hitting something really hard (plate armour, stone, etc) then it should have a chance of breaking.

Re: Diggery do
It is pretty hard, but my gut tells me if I hit something hard with it, after a few blows it would crack because of it being hollow. Maybe I need to find some people in armour and try belting them with it....

Re: Diggery do
OK so as a resident Aussie, let me first make a correction - the spell in the book is wrong....it writes it as a diggery-do. It is actually a didgeridoo - or in slang, a didge. Now that we have that out of the way.... I just started a campaign with 5 new players. One is a halfling bard with a didge ...

Re: Kickstarter - Digest, etc.
Two questions: One for the Kickstarter vets. I have never used it. I am worried about what the cost to post might become on the digests to Australia. How do I find out what it is going to cost for postage? Second one - I like the idea of digest sized, but am a little worried about print size and the...

Tech level in Aihrde
Hey folks. Thinking about buying the Codex and Players Guide to get started in Aihrde. But I was interested to read in the Drive Thru RPG intro to the Players Guide that it included rules for cannons and guns. So is the setting set with that higher tech level? I was looking for something more tradit...

Re: Using C&C with Beyond The Wall
No played a game with it yet, but I have just rolled up a simple character - the untested Thief. I took two approaches to try them out and compare to the base result that BTW would produce. 1. Use the BTW playbook to determine the background story & stats but ignored any skills that came up as r...

Re: Using C&C with Beyond The Wall
My group has some familiarity with this. We essentially cut out all of the C&C classes except for Fighter, Rogue, and Wizard to correspond with the life-path system from Beyond the Wall. The base C&C character's are much more powerful than the base BTW characters. Since C&C doesn't have...

Re: Using C&C with Beyond The Wall
Not familiar with Beyond the Wall, what makes it different? Basically it is that the adventures are "zero prep". I also really love the low fantasy/magic setting. I have been wanting to do something with that feel set in the Celtic myhtos. I was looking to use the Codex Celtarum, but ther...

Using C&C with Beyond The Wall
Just wondering if anyone has any experience running C&C hand in hand with Beyond the Wall. I am really liking the way that adventures are put together in BTW. Thinking it might be something that could work really well together with C&C as the basic engine for running the game. Any experience...

Hey all, Hoping to get the collective wisdom of bringing in the magic specialists and schools of magic from 2E into C&C. Has anyone done this? Did it work? Any tips you might have?

Aihrde - what books for what?
Just wondering if I can get some clarity on the various books on Aihrde.
1) Codex of Aihrde
2) Castles & Crusades Players Guide to Aihrde
3) Castles & Crusades Aihrde Fantasy Campaign Setting
Not sure which books are for what. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Adventures for use with Codex Celtarum
Thanks Celticgamer. The book is a wonderful piece of work. I am no scholar in Celtic myth but have been pondering on a number of possibilities for campaigns in this space - say for example the Dark Age Arthurian myth space. Are you able to give us a little bit of insight on the possible ETAs for the...

Re: Adventures for use with Codex Celtarum
Awesome, thanks. I have been in the process of converting across characters from AD&D 2e, and those characters have in the past come from Forgotten Realms (I have some source books on the Realms from back in the 90s), plus I have been planning to use a few modules from the old AD&D. Just pon...

I just purchased the Codex Celtarum on a whim and really love it thus far (still reading). It seems that the adventre "The Crimson Pact" is designed for use with this Codex. Are there others? What are they?

Dumb Newbie question - find secret/hidden doors
Just a dumb question on how to resolve searches for secret doors. Is it just a Wisdom skill check (plus any racial modifiers)? If so, what sort of CL for low level adventurers to find these would be appropriate?
