Re: Myth & Magic (2e retro) Kickstarter

The Kickstarter linked to back on the 23rd was only a preview - it wasn't open to backers yet - hence there were no backers for several days. NHG noticed the negative feedback this had produced and took it down.

It IS live now though, so check it out.

Re: Why is the CKG PDF not discounted for the 50% off sale?

We did discount the PDF. Both at RPGnow and Drivethru RPG. Its 20.00. Check out these links and you'll see the relevant links: 12 Days Blog. 1st Day is the discounted CKG both Print and PDF. Thanks, Steve Yep, my mistake - I didn't think to look for one off bundles. I only looked at the main CKG li...

Re: Why is the CKG PDF not discounted for the 50% off sale?

We generally don't discount major items until they have been out for a year. This allows them to make it through the retail market without too much complaint from retailers and from those who paid for the item when it first came out. The perfect bound pricing is a bit of an exception. That version ...

Re: Why is the CKG PDF not discounted for the 50% off sale?

hmmm. to be more than the perfect bound is probably an oversight or mistake. This has been well documented/discussed in the past. The latest oversight/mistake is to exempt the CKG from the 'site wide' 50% off PDF sale. I'm just wondering why the CKG is exempt. I live in Australia and shipping out h...

The Trolls could make some more sales this way, or maybe they are worried that it will undermine sales of the full pdf...?

CKG Exerpts

Are there any plans to sell sub-sections of the CKG as pdf products?

I'm interested in getting the 'crunchy' chapters, but am happy to skip the sections on world building and so on. Given, that the full pdf is $30, am I the only one who'd like to see sub-sections at, say $10?

Re: CKG PDF pricing disparity needs fixed...

Free updates to a pdf product is considered 'standard' by many purchasers of pdfs. "Free lifetime updates" won't be seen as an added feature by many buyers who expect this even if they only played $10 for the pdf.

Re: Talisman: The Magical Quest (Revised 4th Edition)

We've actually found that we enjoyed playing Talisman without the expansions. They seem to bog the game down with needless complexity and our experience has been that the games take anything up to an extra hour to play if you use the expansions. Also a great house rule we've experimented with is to ...

Re: Savage Worlds-Hellfrost

Converted adventures would be ok, but I'd REALLY REALLY like a C&C setting book for Hellfrost. I bought the Hellfrost Player's Guide and really enjoyed the setting premise, but I sold the book because my group is averse to learning new systems - we pretty much only play D&D-like systems - an...

Re: TLG's 12 Days of Trollmas

About the digest books, I'm curious, is the formatting different (with increased page count) to allow standard reading, or are the pages, and text, simply reduced in size keeping the same page count? From what I have heard it is the latter (same layout, just reduced to fit digest-sized pages). Yes,...

In my experience with the game it falls into the "one trick pony with no replay value" category.

See, the thing is you only put a little bit on your toast and it's all good. You don't spread it on thick like peanut butter or Jelly (known as 'Jam' to us Aussies, I think).

You certainly don't go eating finger-fulls of the stuff on its own!!
