Re: Settings you have never played / ran, but would like to ?
I've not run a campaign in HârnWorld but it is tempting. I'd need to house rule some things with regard to magic as C&C is a bit too high fantasy for the setting, IMO. Harn, rgr that. I've never played it or ran it, but I have mined the heck out of Harn things. Great sources for ideas However, like...

Re: General cost of living?
Good break down. I have something similar to that somewhere, but no telling where I rat holed it … Another thing I've done is looked at ancient Greece and Rome - yes there is a huge span of time there and huge changes of costs value of coins inflation etc. Also Diocletian policy of fixing prices wag...

Re: Zero Magic C&C
The C&C history books do a great job of tying in the 'myth' of each timeframe/culture into the game . With that they are not strictly historic, and are not no magic, but they tend to be lower magic than average, or at least put a twist on magic outside the normal default For the old 2e history books...

You know, I hate to admit it, but know nothing about Hollow World ... I've heard the name before, but that is it. Dark Sun ... Ant Lion ... ACK ... RUN AWAY !!!! I played it a little back in 2e, and once in C&C, and yes someone here running the C&C version killed me right out of the gate with an Ant...

Re: Zero Magic C&C
I am fairly sure Drivethru has the old 2e history settings ... yeah just checked, $9.99 each, so fairly cheap at that. For a healer type class, I'd bet there is some home brews around here that would fit. I know one thing that us Monday Night Ne'er-do-Wells tend to do is have classes like Ranger, Ba...

Re: Zero Magic C&C
I can't think of any official low magic setting for C&C. However, if you use the historic books they tend to be lower magic at least to a point. Now, I personally lean toward lower magic settings, so it is easy to house rule. Just limit the spells available - I'm doing that with the Amazing Adventur...

Settings you have never played / ran, but would like to ?
Since C&C is the 'Rosetta Stone' of D&D based games, I've been able to play it and convert multiple published settings over the years - Forgotten Realms, Ravenloft, I think a little in Grayhawk, and Kalamar. Of course Aihrde, and then various home brews. However, last night, I got an e-mail about so...

Many of my tips are to get PCs more involved... let them roll their own critical damage against themselves... let them roll for random stuff.. 6 gems are found, one for each PC... let each roll for their value after they have it in hand and look close... not always faster, but in the end tell the s...

I know I've talked to Tree about it before, he may have had something saved on his 'signature block' for it or in his house rules
I may have some notes on it but they would be on my home computer, so I can't check until I get home from work.

Re: Movies you liked that nobody else did.
It took me a while to find a good answer on this one. There are a lot of old movies I liked, back in the day, but I can't say I still like them for sure since I haven't seen them in YEARS. Plus, back then I didn't pay attention to what 'everyone' liked and was surrounded by friend with similar inter...
