Adventurer's Backpack

Hi guys, sorry if this question has been asked to death, but I have been away from the forums for a long time and now find myself out of the loop. What is the status of the Adventurer's Backpack? I missed out on the kickstarter but hope it hits retail soon.

Re: Welcome to The Portal!

I have been away from gaming for some time (went back to college full time while working 50 hours a week at my job....yeah I know, it's a death wish). So it is sad to come back and see a cool thing like the portal (which I was going to try today) and read that it is floundering. It sounds like such ...

Re: Conan Adventures in an Age Undreamed Of pdf released

I was too late to back the Modiphius kickstarter, but I have been tempted to take the plunge and buy the pdf. The artwork looks amazing and I am intrigued by the mechanics.

Re: What gaming stuff are you reading?

Man I am all over the place with this one. Gaming ADHD I suppose. I have been re-reading many of my C&C adventures and Airhde stuff, but I have also been reading many of the variants of d100 gaming, like Mythras\Legend\Runequest stuff. For adventure writing, I have been really happy with the Mag...

Re: Gary Con VIII (2016)

Here at Garycon! Got in late Wednesday night, spent most of the day chatting with Steve and Tyler. lol. I am available to run a game at any time, so if any of you Crusaders are here, let me know! Tree, I messaged you with my cell, so get a hold of me later, or I will just come find you in my wanderi...

Re: Gary Con VIII (2016)

So it looks like I will be there after all! Wife and I will arrive late Thursday afternoon. My wife isn't a gamer, but she wanted to get away from everything and relax. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it, so I didn't sign up for any games, either to run or play in, so everything I do will be op...

Your Ultimate CK Screen

So I am working on custom screen inserts and have pondered over what exactly I want on there. I am a big fan of the content on the original portrait screens; the choice of content for the landscape screens left me scratching my head and wondering what thought process went into choosing that particul...

Piperdog's Aihrde Campaign

This is a campaign I set up for my kids (son Logan 20, son Luke 17, stepson Jayden 14, and daughter Megan 12) My 12 year old just tested at a college reading level, so she is my little brainiac and way more mature for her age than Dad wants, but what a roleplayer! The middle boys enjoy the game once...

Re: AA as the ruleset for fantasy INSTEAD of C&C?

When I look at tweaking C&C rules, I view AA like an extension of the CKG. The CKG offers a lot of ways to tinker under the hood and modify what you want. I look at AA that way for my C&C game. My buddy Jason put a lot of golden nuggets in AA that are fun ports over to my C&C game. It's ...

RPG Benefits for Chidren; Articles?

Hi guys! Wow, I have been away from the boards for a long while. Feels good to be back. All that "Getting married, working overtime, moving, and buying a new house" type of stuff gets in the way of what should be a priority: C&C. 8-) Anyhow, this post is aimed at you Treebore, as I bel...

Re: Miniatures murder roleplay.

The whole miniatures debate really depends on the style of play. I agree that miniatures detract from the minds eye theatre thing that story driven narrative creates. My brother collects the Dwarven Forge sets and has some elaborate terrain. When we play using those fantastic sets it is fun for sure...

Re: Crusader: List of Adventures and Encounters

Nice list! Thanks for sharing. I think it would be cool to see a Crusader Adventure Compendium, with all those in one book. Heck, TLG could do a saddlestitched book of just John Wrights compiled Crusader Adventures and I would buy it.

New Amazing Adventures Printing

So I didn't see this anywhere yet, but since I have my pdf of the new printing I just wanted to say it is fantastic. Jason really worked his tail off on this thing, and it is revised and better than before. For example, the pugilist was revamped to be more westernized and less like the monk class, a...

Full Color Reboot

So now we have the 3 Sisters coming out in full color, and let me say by just what I have seen in the PHB, this is a fantastic thing. While I can appreciate the old school feel of plain black and white, most of my rpg friends are taken in by fancy books as they flip through the pages at the local ga...

Re: Monsters & Treasure Four

As to the interior style, will it match the PH? By that I mean, have the same cool parchment border colors and gloss pages. It would be odd to have the pages white, I think, when sitting open next to the other books. And I noticed that larger font size wasn't mentioned, so I assume it will remain th...

Re: C&C @ GENCON ~ A Crusader's Guide to Off-Grid Games

Awesome Tyler! I will be there too, and available to play in or run some games. Last year I had to fill a slot when the CK couldn't make it and Steve grabbed me and asked if I could do it. The last couple of years have been pretty turbulent and finances made me wonder if I was going to make it, so I...

Module Format

I have been noticing over the years that adventure modules have appeared in many different formats. You ever notice how some have shaded text to read out loud and some don't? Some are presented in ordered encounters, and others are more like a wikipedia database? I find I can appreciate the differen...

Hey guys, I see Top Secret being talked about. Just to throw this out there, there is a game by DWD studios called Covert Ops which is pretty new. If you have seen Barebones Fantasy, it is built off that rules light d100 engine. Very cool, rules light to medium. Instead of a million skills, there ar...
