OAR #6 Temple of Elemental Evil
So Goodman Games is working with WOTC to produce 5th Edition updates to several classic modules. They include commentary, interviews, usually a couple of full re-prints/scans of the several printings of the modules (that had changes) so you can compare them; and a 5th Edition version of the adventur...

Just started playing Inquisitor: Martyr. Only a few levels in but like the story/game play so far.
Spent some time getting back up to speed with Fantasy Grounds as well.

AD&D PHB reprint and AD&D Dungeoneer Survival Guide.
Also been looking at various mega-dungeons. Picked up Goodman Games Castle Whiterock (in pdf) as that was one of the few I haven’t gotten yet.

Re: Missing 1st Ed Cleric Spells
Was just reading about Chant in AD&D. Playing a cleric and was looking at what options are available. Agree that Snake and Speak should be in the Druid realm, The thing with Chant is - I think in AD&D it was stackable with Bless and then with the 3rd level Prayer. It gives a +1 to hit and damage, wi...

Re: What Video Game(s) are you playing
With so many other games, I still have yet to play... Yeah, I literally have DOZENS of games I own but have yet to play. So I've put a moratorium on buying any more games until I actually play the ones I already own, and finish all of the ones I end up liking. Which I figure, if I like most of them...

Re: What Video Game(s) are you playing
Discovered from a friend an old game for the Commodore 64, which is now available as an Application. The game is called Sword of Fargoal. Simple but challenging for the iPhone. Played one or two games of Call of Duty IV, and Some more of my ongoing game of Skyrim. But the game I've really been playi...

Itlas, Know your going for Descent, I'm sure you all will have fun with it! I did have one last one that you could look into down the road. And that is available in Italian - "Dungeon Saga: La Missione del Re dei Nani" aka "Dungeon Saga: The Dwarf King's Quest" by Mantic Games Watched a development ...

Re: What gaming stuff are you reading?
I really enjoyed running Black Monastery... Yeah, it seems like a really interesting adventure. I was captivated by the write up on Frog God Games webstore page on it. So when a sale came around I figured I'd pick it up. I may fit it in at some point in my C&C campaign, as I like the suggestion of ...

Re: Descent or Legends of Andor:which one do you recommend?
I took a look to Descent and Legends of Andor and both seems interesting, which one do you have tried and would recommend? My vote is for Descent. Like Treebore said, it can a take a bit with set-up and tear-down, but a fun game to play, whether you do one-shots or follow the campaign. FFG's compone...

Ghostbusters: The Board Game. How is that game? Seemed like a good kickstarter. As far the Board Games I've played, got several games in over Turkey/Thanksgiving Day... Munckin with Holidaze Expansion. Always fun Attack! hadn't played this in a while, but it was good fun as well. Car Wars Classic. ...

Cyclopean Deeps 2. Finished CD1 and started on 2. Less Drow and more Weird - Denizens of Leng, Dark Stalkers, and other such things. Black Monastery. Just barely scratched the surface on this one. Frost Grave. Read through it, now going back over the stuff I skimmed - spells, scenarios. All in a goo...

Re: Fantasy Grounds Crashing for C&C
Just a quick update. I did post over at the FG2 Forums. It seems the program has a memory limit (32 or 64). Crashes can happen with too many Tokens. I removed a stack of digital picture versions of the D&D Miniature line converted to tokens. In process I found some PDFs in the files for my other tok...

Re: Mana Points, Spell Slots, or Vancian?
I pretty much play spells BTB/Vancian. Arcane's (Wizard/Illusionists) have a spell book and must memorize from that for what they need for the day. Spells are learned during training (Based off what the PC wants to learn and what the NPC is willing to give them), found in tomes or scrolls. Divine's ...

Yes I've usd Roll20 before. Not really into it, plus I'm well invested in in FG2.
@JohnD
Haven't posted yet at the official FG forums. I may have a screen capture of the error somewhere. Will post once I find it.

Fantasy Grounds Crashing for C&C
Hey all, I'm an FG2 user for several years. The problem I'm having now is with the C&C ruleset. We game every week but every week we're having the game crash multiple times. Very, Very, Very, Very frustrating. It's like 10 minutes to reboot, reconnect and get set back up. Anyone else out there using...

Re: Kings of War by Mantic
Very nice. I saw this before and just went to the website to check it out again. Reminds me of Descent and the D&D Adventure System, but probably intended to invoke the memory of Warhammer Quest, as Mantic is want to do these days (IMHO). Looks like a good deal in the Kickstarter, just for the minia...

1. Ork Truk. I've added roll bars to the cargo area. That will contain the models as they race down the table. Pretty cool to see all 12 Orks in the Truk. Still need to add the Wrecking Ball. I've decided to move all the Orks back into the display case and focus on other projects. 2. BattleTech. All...

Treebore, Religion and politics is a topic we don't typically bring up, as we're all there to game, likely because most of us don't care (because we're here to game) and two it's an uncomfortable topic for a lot of people. Maturity, difficult and uncomfortable topics are not for everyone because it ...

Re: Of Gods & Monsters Question
The first is the trolls missed an opportunity to address Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, etc. While some don't want to go there, there are plenty of Modern day worshipers of some of the faiths in the book (Native American, Norse, Celtic) so not dealing with "real" world faiths was a missed ...
