As I understand it, it includes a condensed/basic/lite set of Siege Engine rules.

Yeah, I downloaded and tried the TLG Discord for about 5 minutes. Everyone was very helpful but the format sucks. Never went back on again. If that is the way of the future, I'll say my goodbyes now.

Re: New to C&C, I have some Magic Item and Monster questions
There are many things in C&C that are left to the individual group/CK to determine, some are oversights, some are deliberate * The game is meant to work with various TSR editions of the game and is also fairly compatible with 3.0 (intentionally or not). It is probably safe to assume that experien...

Re: Haunted Highlands bundle?
HHCKG essentially has much of Black Librum of Nartarus and a big monster expansion in the back as well.
Its a great book, if a bit hastily put together.

Re: Advice and encouragement needed in picking up the ole du
I've not read all the replies. I do run a game for my son and his peers, and have done so for about 7 years. They were all 10/11 to start and now are off to college in the fall in various parts of the country. Quite sad the gaming with them will pretty much come to an end now. That said, best pieces...

Re: What current setting do you use for your C&C games?
I dig and have used a whole bunch of settings... But specifically for C&C I have used Haunted Highlands, Aihrde (when using an A series module from TLG), and my homebrew Forgotten Realms (which is essentially the OGB, with a few bits or places or plots from later FR materials like the Volo Guide...

At this point.....
What exactly is available on The Portal? Is there a list? For C&C I am mainly interested in the adventures ( from any setting) , as well as setting info for Aihrde. CKG and Classic M&Twould be nice, but alone they are not enough to make me pull the monthly trigger. I have the AA core book an...

Re: New Conan RPG by Modiphious...
I was involved with the playtest up to about the last revison prior to KS.. Although there were a few mechanicsl ideas/ elements I enjoyed, I found the system overly fiddly requiring multiple decision points on both sides of the screen even for a routine task. It seems to be trying too hard and comp...

Re: Powered by the Apocalypse
A little late. I dont frequent this forum much, but Dungeon World is what we play the majority of the time these days (though I ran A0 for C&C on Fathers Day). We have a blast. I run it for my "kids" group. Who now are all 16/17 yo. They like rule minimalism (so do I), and they get much...

Re: C&C S&S?
To encourage the S&S minimal armor trope, simply restrict the heaviest stuff and give out incremental level based AC bonus. Fighters wouod get a bigger bonus, rogues the next biggest, and magic users the least. For fighters, maybe half of level, +dex bonus if any, and make scale or chain the bes...

Re: Are the color books worth replacing my "old" editions?
I should clarify, mine are the latest color prints of the PHB and M&T.
Im unfamiliar with any previous color prints. My last set of books were the green cover b&w versions.

Re: Are the color books worth replacing my "old" editions?
Fan of the color. Especially for M&T. I think it made alot of the monsters "pop".
I should note that 99% of the time I favor little to no art, b&w gaming books. I just think the color helps with the particular artists The Trolls utilize.

Re: Combat Dominance
I have done a couple versions of combat dominance. One was at every level.divisible by 3, the hd of the creature went up one. So 3rd level works against 2 hd. 6th level.works against 3hd, etc. The other and I think the one I will stick with is is similar the Great Cleave of 3.x/ PF if you drop a foe...
