Re: Liitle Birds: The Game Breaks Down? The Math is off?
After posting across various forums, I've seen some complaints. Basically, that the math is wonky and things break down at 5th+ level. After reading, I'm not seeing it. Are these complaints from angry competency-porn entitled players or is there more to it? Debunk all the rumors and sass-talk for m...

Re: Expanding Classes (C&C)
I'm torn. I like character options, but when you get too many ... well, that road may lead to madness. :-D That's the reason I like this as a separate book. If the options are too crazy, too plentiful, or too powerful you can simply excise the book from your campaign. I like it TLG. I like this a l...

Expanding Classes (C&C)
Over up there on the Facebook, TLG sprouted some news about new C&C product available at GenCon https://www.facebook.com/castlesandcrusades/photos/a.374592225922211.77363.144428195605283/1059692280745532/?type=3&theater Castles & Crusades: Expanding Classes Here's the Ad Copy: Most every...

Re: Arms & Armor Digital
I just don't understand how TLG can keep making mistakes like this. They were advised of the mistake on several occasions before this book went to print, and before the .pdf was released to OBS. It's a stupid one for sure. Read the back cover.

Re: Con on the Cob Question
Hey Litzen. I also suffer from a hearing disorder that limits my ability to separate background noise from foreground noise. That being said, COTC's gaming hall (last year, and probably this year too) was in a gigantic 3-story room. The gaming tables are close together like many conventions, but wha...

Re: Con on the Cob Question
CotC is a smallish convention, that is currently going through some growing pains. It started about 10 years ago with about 100 people, and grew to 500-600+ a few years ago. The con outgrew it's home hotel (thank god, that place was a dump) and moved to a much larger, and marginally better hotel in ...

Re: What Video Game(s) are you playing
Skyrim is coming back to XB1, with all of the sanctioned mods built in and a graphical update. Plenty of bugs will be fixed, and some new stuff added, though no more "questing" content as it appears at this point. Comes out OCT2016. Looks like I'll need to buy back in. The visuals looks fr...

Re: Frog God Games' ~ Bard's Gate!
I think I read somewhere that the updated Bard's Gate book will be over 500 pages! That's a lot of content. I do like the fact that they are offering a 70" x 70" cloth map of the city as one of the add-ons. This works for me as I have centered most of my campaigns in the last 10 years in a...

Re: Frog God Games' ~ Bard's Gate!
It'll kick up at the end I'm sure, but there's not a lot of room for stretch goals and whatnot which has now become a mainstay of gaming kickstarters. It is also possible, that there just isn't as much support for an expanded Bard's Gate product. I think the KS will be successful still.

Re: GW's Warhammer Quest 2.0
Sorry to hear it's not working out for you Serl. We'd all love an updated version of WHQ, but frankly the original WHQ doesn't follow GW's marketing plan. The original had EVERYTHING you need in one box to play, and indeed supported "infinite gaming enjoyment" because it was fully expandab...

Re: GW's Warhammer Quest 2.0
No it won't. IMO it looks awful, because it's NOT more like WHQ. My understanding is that initial pre-orders of the game were very strong based on it's resemblance to WHQ, but once people starting playing it, it really isn't like what we remember. Sales have apparently done very poor in the weeks af...

Rules lawyers I generally don't really care about, unless they argue the the rules are being use incorrectly when in fact they are the ones whom are incorrect. But powergamers in the other hand... I really have a bad habit of playing up their powergamey aspects only to crush them at a later time. Po...

Re: If you have yet to discover the awesomeness of HarnWorld
Treebore, If I may ask, the way you describe how you use all of your resources, doesn't that make you or your players feel like setting is a hodgepodge of settings all haphazardly thrown together? I'm not saying your run your campaigns haphazardly, but if the players want to know certain details, an...

Re: If you have yet to discover the awesomeness of HarnWorld
HarnWorld is awesome for it's continued glut of detail, and the absolute love for the setting the dozens of writers have that keep this world going for what seems ever. The HarnWorld map is gorgeous, and the cartography used in all of HarnWorld's product over the past 15 years is probably near the t...

Congrats on returning to Karameikos! I have certainly loved running that setting over the years, and have found ample opportunity to adventure in those old, dark forests. Speaking of which, the Castles & Crusades C-Series of modules all take place in the dark forests of Aihrde. Perhaps, since mo...

Re: Are the color books worth replacing my "old" editions?
I really like the new color editions of the books. Not enough written material was changed in the PHB to necessitate a new version IMO, but the new books just looks so cool. I do like the nifty new written bits in the M&T that discuss the "level" of objects producing variable results t...
