Re: Black Box?
Indiegogo allows for Paypal which is huge advantage and the problem with Kickstarter is that Amazon Payments is *not* used for projects created outside the US. You still use a Credit Card but not through the convenience of Amazon and that is a big one. Ahhh, I had no idea about this. Frankly, the w...

Re: New PHB6 (it's on the way)
I received my PHB today. This book is heavy. It has to be since there is so much ink. The slick paper weighs more and resists tears better. The book is nicely done and resembles work done by a class A gaming company. This is what the new gamer wants to buy. Nice art, clean look, discernible cover a...

Re: Excited. Scared. Help. (Long. For the helpful and bored.
IIRC the C&C quickstart has a summary of the spells where each has a write up that's about 1 or 2 sentences.
Found it: http://www.trolllord.com/downloads/pdfs/cnc_qs.pdf pages 15-16.
Of course, it only lists spells up to level 2, and it's not all of them. So it's not really helpful....

I'd say page 19 is an orc.
not a playable race, but it looks like an orc to me.

Yeah, the box has pregens. THere's a link above; taking a quick look, I think they're they same pregens as the basic PDF>
(now, if the PDF doesn't have pregens, that sentence makes no sense, I might be confusing the two)

Re: TLG 81311 Codex Nordica
Since some folks are receiving the PHB from "The Sisters" kickstarter, which occurred after the Nordica kickstarter, I think I am understandably curious as to where things stand for delivery of the Nordica book and assorted extra pledge level goodness. What news, good Trolls? bump. I'm al...

Re: D&D 5th Edition Discussion
So does the Starter Set coming out this week have all the classes and races? I see the free basic rules has the four food groups classes, but can I get druid, monk, bard etc without the PHB? And the question to ask I guess, is: does the starter set make sense if you are going to run adventures you a...

Re: New PHB6 (it's on the way)
I also agree, updating the XP to match the rules guides is errata and not rules changes and it is A OK in my book. (in my three sisters, books, that is, nyuk nyuk nyuk). I also dig the clarifications to the XP Special rules for calculating new monsters XP. (24 points vs. 4d6, for example). Nice upda...

Re: D&D 5th Edition Discussion
here's a question: humans +1 to all stats or use the optional feat rules.... With no BTH progression (the change that surprised me the most), I'm thinking the stat modifiers are more important to a characters' success, so even munchkins would choose the +1 to all stats. or something. It just seems m...

Re: Free D&D 5th ed PDF
I think D&D 5th looks very interesting! I like the focus on personality traits in character creation. It keeps in mind that this is a game where you actually play a role. I also like how you start with a general character and then you choose a specialty (or archetype) at level 3. We need to see...

Three Sisters Kickstarter!!!!PS- by the way, the pre-order price on Amazon is "only" $98 for all 3 books. Still, that's $98 I can spend on stuff I'll actually use.
