Currently it's a homebrew, though Yggsburgh and the surrounding area is in there, and Bard's Gate is up north. In theory, the land is to the east of the campaign world I've had since 2e, Nevere.

Next time it will be Greyhawk, most likely.

Green Ronin did an Assassin base class that was pretty good, actually. As for the original article, oy. Just oy. I don't get the need to compartmentalize every singe aspect of the game. Heck, the over-reliance on minis is part of that, part of the need to quantify and have a rule for everything. You...

I never thought of adding beer to a barbecue sauce.

When I need to saute something, I'll add a splash of bourbon or vodka (cheap stuff for cooking, never the good stuff for drinking).

Re: C&C is simply amazing.

C&C truly is an amazing game. The first time we played it after switching from 3e, we truly felt free, unencumbered by needless rules. I'd heartily recommend the C&C screen and getting the Haunted Highlands module for low level and Fingers of the Forsaken Hand for higher levels. But really, ...

I have mine. It's quite a beautiful piece of work; I can't wait to use it.

The FLGS also just happened to have a copy of Vakhund: Into The Unknown on their shelves when I picked up my special order.

Welcome to the Crusade! I am a librarian, and I still don't like sorting out 3e. Except for when I played 3e, I have always just eyeballed things when it comes to getting the right challenge. I haven't seen the new BBC series, but both the Errol Flynn and Disney Robin Hood films are fun. "You speak treason!" "fluently." I even liked Men in Tights, though it had me wishing that it had been a straight telling of the legend starring Cary Elway. Orpheus wrote: Starting fi...

I'd say it's like when DC killed Superman and crippled Batman. Except back then, we knew it wouldn't last. Marvel has seemed pretty serious about the whole Civil War thing.

Agreed. Even a +1 sword becomes exciting when you talk about how a one-eyed dwarf, Durzak Ironhide wielded it 600 years ago at the Battle of the Bleeding Mountain, slaying the orc chief in a single swipe, after which the blade was passed from generation, until a coward goblin poisoned the current wi...
