<t>I probably come off as a self-absorbed jerk so I won't hold it against you if say so. <br/> I don't intend to go RAW style. I feel that I have experienced enough games while actively tracking fixes (beta style) that I have a pretty decent grasp on what I want from a game. I know the initial run o...

<t>@Treebore: I know you didn't aim that comment specifically at me but let me go ahead and say... I'm certainly over the whole rules for everything idea. I'm not adding - let me take a look here - nearly 200 pages of new material to the PH. My house rules are a page, maybe two... Unless you count t...

<t>I just think that's a sketchy explanation at best. Shadowed in logic processes foreign to me. My mind gobbles up your words and then says, "B-b-but!!!"<br/> <br/> But hey, I'm gonna fix my problem so's I will no longer have a problem. Gives me a project that in turn allows me to ignore my other p...

<t>Okay, but a monster gets Hp every HD. PCs don't get Hp for every Attribute and Level they have... and their Attribute modifiers certainly aren't the exact same! They differ, making them a little more unique than a fella of the exact same class and level.<br/> <br/> Part of your contention with me...

Indeed. The chance for critting a PC into the ground is pretty high weighing the probabilities against the number of rolls required to get through a campaign. Not too mention that most of the time monsters have home turf advantage and mystery on their side. Lord Dynel wrote: True. I think I know whe...

<t>You know what I mean. Attribute modifiers of which the monsters do not receive. They have Primes which do not equate to the same thing.<br/> <br/> You guys are fun to have discussions with, by the way. <br/> Here is a question... Does the Chimera get all five of those attacks in a single Round?!<...

True but isn't a giant also well versed in the applications of Strength? Given that he too has it as a Prime... I understand perfectly why modifiers aren't given to Monsters in this game, its all in the name of classic appeal and rules lite. That's cool. But at the same time, I intend to add little ...

A Fighter of the same Level will be considered stronger than the giant if he has at least a +1 modifier. To me this is unacceptable. And yeah, I know a giant should never lose an arm wrestling match to a Fighter unless that fighter is a true brute and magically enhanced and I can make that judgment ...

<t>Do it! I don't know what you are doing but do it here!<br/> <br/> I'm too young to know these names you folks use. The only Holmes I know is Sherlock and... well... <t>Let's say a colossal sized marble pillar is bearing down on him. This particular pillar happens to be launched by a magical ballista that further enhances the power behind such a massive object. The Ggant was already smashed by it but now it threatens to crush him unless he makes a Strength save ...

<t>I sometimes wonder what makes a class "racial." Is it because of the powers inherent in that race can only be manifested through that class? Or is it training granted by members of that race whom don't freely give such information out?<br/> <br/> Consider the latter. If someone is using that as t...
