The somantic component is you pull off the stem of the cone, then the verbal is counting out loud, "One dead orc, two dead orcs, three dead orcs, throw!"

Awesome critter!

But I must know: Were you watching Meerkat Manor when you thought of these?

<t>Sounds ferocious! It might have natural treasure, though, in the form of a really cool hide, plus teeth and claws (which might be money in some barbarian kingdoms).<br/> <br/> When I was a kid I was on a camping trip with some folks and one was a modern day mountain man/trapper. Like all such, he...

Schadenfreude is a great name for a rogue!

I love to throw in references to current events, pop culture, history, literature, etc. in my campaigns, too. This sounds like a rich and entertaining world you've put together.

<t>Yep, I have both excel and quattro-pro on my computer (it's an older model, what can I say). I'm pretty sure the later excel versions could open this document.<br/> <br/> I can't believe my post was stickied. I feel so honored! I'd like to thank the academy... sailor character class

<t>Does anyone have a sailor character class that they've put together? I've been starting work on a campaign world of kingdoms that surround an inner sea, about the size of the Mediterranean (whose name does mean "in the middle of the lands"), but with the long way north-south. Some adventures woul...

statistics

<t>Ok, I was an English major and I'm dying of curiosity. Could some math major please answer the question about odds? My knee-jerk reaction was that no matter what the orcs roll, the party has a one in six chance of rolling the same number. So wouldn't they match one sixth of the time? I know in th...

a not-so-minor magic item

<t>I usually play spellcasters, but I have tried a few thieves here and there. They almost always died the same way: Falling. Either the fall itself killed them (thieves don't always have a lot of hit points) or the fall attracted the guards, or they fell into a lower dungeon level and got cut off f...

<t>After starting with D&D, the gaming group I hung out with moved to point based character creation systems like GURPS, Hero system, and WOD. I got used to custom designing characters with points just as I wanted. When I moved and joined a group of D&D'ers, I decided to play a ranger, but a...

<t>Laughing so hard I scared the dog, and my wife is looking concerned, too!<br/> <br/> Our group has a wide range of age ranges, too, and I like the way it brings a variety of viewpoints to the adventure. quattro-pro monster spreadsheet

<t>Hi, everyone!<br/> <br/> To help me in developing wilderness scenarios, I made a quattro-pro spreadsheet of all the monsters in M&T. It lists them by name, hit dice, alignment, and then has columns for various terrains: arctic, city, desert, forest, hill/scrub, jungle, mountain, plains, ruins...

Wasn't there a character like that in the movie "Labyrinth?"

Any knight brave enough to go up against the great David Bowie is ok in my book!
