Reading the rules as written, I think that a wizard 4/fighter 2 attacks as a 2nd level fighter, i.e. has a +2 BtH. Bye and have a nice summer!

Tad Williams's Memory Sorrow and Thorn Sagas for C&C
Hi everybody, I'm reading for the first time the exceptional sagas "Memory Sorrow and Thorn" by Tad Williams, and I'm thinking about writing a C&C mini campaign within that so flavourful setting. How could I "translate", in C&C game terms, the races, Norns (evil elves/dro...

Re: My houserule site is moving
Thank you so much, Chris! I really enjoy your work, and I'm playing extensively with my group with your AD&D 3 ed: great system and great campaign setting!

Re: Illusionist healing spells
I absolutely have no problem with arcane spell casters using healing spells: I vote "leave the healing spells for the illusionist". I particularly like the flavour this class has in C&C, much more interesting IMHO than in AD&D 1 and 2 edition. In my games, illusionists in order to ...

Re: Artemis Entreri C&C stats
Great! I just finished reading "The Silent Blade", a R.A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realms Novel featuring Artemis Entreri and Drizzt Do' Urden, and I was thinking about statting Forgotten Realms heroes for C&C. Artemis Entreri is a helluva start! By the way, also I think he is a class and...

Re: Skills - Do I have this right?
Just my two cents about skills: when I play C&C, I use Omote's excellent advanced C&C general skills rules: I find them really great, similar both to AD&D 2 ed. and D&D 3.X ed., and perfectly compatible with "official" Siege Engine System. It's a skill system, but very simp...

Re: Fighting Defensively Combat Maneuver
I see your points, Breakdaddy and Omote, and thank you very much again: okay, okay...as soon as possible for me, I'm going to buy the CKG, even in its Digest Size version: I have been waiting for it for so long, now I'm very curious, and I'm really looking forward to reading it from cover to cover! :D

Re: Fighting Defensively Combat Maneuver
Basically, you choose to adopt a defensive stance, so you can attack with a - 4 penalty but you gain a +2 bonus to your AC. Do you think it would be too much? I'm trying ways and methods to help characters raising their AC in C&C without having to rely too much on magic stuff.
Many thanks!

Fighting Defensively Combat Maneuver
Hi everybody: I really like the Defensive Combat Maneuver from D&D 3.x/Pathfinder: do you think it could be applied to C&C, or would it be unbalanced in some ways? Many Thanks!

Why should I buy a sword, when a war hammer is better?
Hi everybody: a war hammer is just one gold coin more expensive than the long sword, and slightly more cumbersome, and as deadly as the long sword (1d8): a lot of monsters however are much more vulnerable to bludgeoning weapon than slashing ones (who said skeletons?). Maybe the iconic image of a fig...

Racial Abilities: flat bonuses & + level bonuses
Hi everybody: there are some racial abilities that don't have a flat bonus, such as the Elven "Move Silently" Ability: how do you handle them? Do you give the heroes who have them the + level bonus to relate Siege Checks? There are also some racial abilities that give flat bonuses, such as...

Racial Languages
Hi everybody,
How do you handle racial languages? Do you give them all to a starting PC?
Does he choose which ones he wants to learn them, via her/his Intelligence Bonus?
Many thanks again,
G.

Re: My Knight class: Comments welcome!
Hi, Aqua Vitae, I like this Knight Class very much! I'd only suggest that: 1) experience points progression = like a paladin 2) Knightly Combat = once per encounter, or a number of times (one single adversary after the other, as stated in the description) equal to the Charisma Bonus (min.1) What do ...

Re: Primes for Monsters?
As Chris, I too usually give only two primes to "ordinary" and common monsters (such as goblinoids, orcs, ogres, kobolds and the like). I usually give three primes to dragons, liches, vampires and the like. I also sometimes lower the Base Attack Bonuses of Monsters: not every ogre can figh...

Alternate Racial and Class Ability
<t>Truly great! I'm looking forward to reading more alternate racial and class abilities and to playtesting them. I think it's a very cool step toward giving C&C heroes more flexibility, from a mechanical point of view, without burdening the rules too much: you're in the very right direction, I ...

Knight Ability: Battlefield Dominance
<t>Hi, everybody, I dont'know if there's already a topic about this, but I'd like to know exactly how Knight's Ability Battlefield Dominance works: does it allow the knight to use in a day one more time Inspire, Embolden and Demoralize, all in the same round, or does just it give her/him the possibi...

Hit Points & Constitution Bonus
Hi, when charachters add a flat amount of hp to their total, usually after 10th level, do they still add theri Constitution Bonus? In the Original Game they didn't, but in C&C I couldn't find any clea rule about that: am I missing something?
