For me, I pretty much buy everything put out by the setting/system I like. So shrinkwrapped won't hinder my purchasing of the product. I would like to see separate covers with the maps on the inside as well.

The rumor I heard was that 4th Ed., expected to release in 2008, will have a system similar to Mutants & Masterminds. I often wonder if their Tome of Battle and Magic books are a precursor of the feel of 4e.

Something that bugged me about AD&D was how high the stat bonuses needed to be to gain bonus benefits. In 3e, you felt okay if your fighter had a 13 STR because at least he got a bonus to his hit and damage. A 13 STR fighter in AD&D felt so weak.

THAC20..sort of. Armor = AC instead of bonus

<r>One concept I liked in AD&D was armor equating to a base AC instead of just a bonus like in 3e. What I did like in 3e was the upward movement. So, I'm seriously thinking of combining the two and implimenting a sort of To Hit AC 20 house rule in my game and I'd like to get some feedback.<br/> ...

How about this....they stack. Besides that, if you didn't want them to stack, the Prot. from Evil also protects from physical contact and possession while the Shield of Faith adds to saves as well. So they both do more than just add to AC.

I'm not including the PC races in the Ranger's humanoid list because of the way the listed races is done. "(bugbears, gnolls, goblins, hobgoblins, kobolds, orcs, and the like)" To me, "and the like" doesn't fit the PC races.
