Did anyone else register for events today? If so, how did it turn out for you? I was fortunate to snag a seat in everything on my list.

Dang, Omote! I hate to read you got the short end of the stick and don't blame you for cancelling your events. Since you are firmly on the player side this year, here is some info for what I'm running at GCXII: I ran C&C at GC the last 2 years, have run numerous demos at other conventions, game stor...

that sounds cool.. will you publish it? Theme? I'm working up a campaign setting for England circa 1190 CE. Question / Discussion about Delay Poison
Some of my players have been discussing the Delay Poison spell during the last couple of sessions. I'm running them through the lower reaches of The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan which contains "bad air" i.e. poison gas. The gas causes d6 damage every 15 minutes to every person without some means of pr...

Re: Amazing Castles & Crusades
I have been reading through the Amazing Adventures books and have found a lot of which I'd like to port to a C&C game. The mentalist class, the fate dice mechanic, the character generation process, the sorcerer minus the corruption and either backgrounds + knowledge skills or the skill system from ...

Anyone use 'wounds' as described in the CKG p 314? Divide total hit points by 4, for four wounds. 1 Wound = no effect 2 Wounds = -1 to Attribute Check/Attack Roll 3 Wounds = -2 to Attribute Check/Attack Roll, -1 Saves 4 Wounds = -3 to Attribute Check/Attack Roll, -2 Saves Thought the idea was cool ...

Re: How do you handle multiclass?
Less about the by-the-book rules here, and more about how you've approached level advancement in multiclass. Is it always 1:1 (or 1:1:1, etc) in levels in your games? I don't. That is, using a straight PHB read, you normally add the xp requirement of the classes and add the prescribed extra amount,...

Re: Clerics switching gods and alignments
I'm not aware of anything in the C&C rules that covers this situation, although I am not an expert on the CKG's contents. I'd suggest looking to a more story game approach to the situation rather than looking for rules/mechanics answers. Ask yourself what the change in deities should mean narrative...

Re: Clerics switching gods and alignments
I've not come across anything that does so. If you reference earlier AD&D, it would be the loss of a level or two plus any religion specific abilities and powers. Adding an alignment change would've had additional penalties as well. A suggestion: Rather than losing the level(s); maybe the way to lo...

Clerics switching gods and alignments
Is there anything in the C&C rules that addresses what happens with regard to game mechanics if a cleric abandons his god in favor of another? And if the switch includes an alignment change, what consequences add on? One of my players runs a cleric character going through a "crisis of faith" so if a...

Re: Worst fantasy movie ...
The LOTR films had a sense of care and passion behind them - the Hobbit trilogy by comparison felt like a bloated cash-out. If LOTR had never existed, maybe the Hobbit would've gotten a better reception? Same could be said for the Star Wars prequels. . . I seriously dislike the Hobbit films. Just a...

Re: Assassin cost chart
Just a quick question: I remember, at some point, seeing a chart for assassination costs; as I recollect, it was based on assassin level crossed with target level. Am I indicating something that actually exists, and if so, where? I think it was a C&C -based concept, but it could've been AD&D and I'...

When I'm a player, the vast majority of the time I'll play a human. However, back in 1998 I played a half-orc assassin in an all too brief AD&D2e campaign. Too bad the DM had to move out of the region!

Me and two friends ran into Luke G. on Sunday evening. Luke said attendance was 2,922 so that explains why it was packed... and pretty noisy in the Forums and in the Westgate room in which I ran my games. Don't get me wrong, I had a good time, but I definitely noticed the noise.
