Pre 3.0, I always wanted to run a Gyth invasion, but it never came to be.

After the SRD, I've tooled around with Aboleth masterminds and minion races. Little did I know that Bad Axe Games did the work for me.

Good stuff. Some of it is from the SRD, like Taint, and I like the idea of using the old subdual damage rules to represent heroic healing.

Depending on how cinematic you want to to be, I'd suggest giving a version of Action/Luck/Fate points a try.
