Using C&C to run a middle earth setting, any thoughts?
I know there are several Middle earth settings (One ring, Etc.) but my players are comfortable with C&C. Does anyone have any tips for such a campaign? The first thing I thought of was Priest spells acting as Wizard spells. And having Monks come from Harad.
Thanks,
Jeff

I'm giving Dwarves in my campaign Gunpowder which they have been using for mining and they are just beginning to explore other uses. The Halflings have been using steam tech to power airships they have become skilled at moving cargo through the air.

All I want for Christmas is a C&C Core Rules software set
For me the AD&D core rules and expansion set were the most useful software tools ever created. *Character creator *Dice Roller *mapping program *reference library all at my fingertips. Would it not be so amazingly cool if the Trolls could create something like this for C&C? Just like the one...

Getting My campaign off the ground.
I'm running a weekend game for my boys. Starting them in shadows of the halfling hall. I decided to only have two deities -the Source for all things good and the Darkness for all that is evil. I decided to take a tip from the "Princess Bride" and name my kingdoms and countries after coinag...

Any other character sheet programs out there?
I have the ICharacter sheet for my Ipad. it works nice but the formatting is weird when I try to print it out. My kids love online sheets and I have to admit I enjoy the crispness of a clearly written character sheet? are there any other form filled character sheets out there? I have fantasy Grounds...

Re: Just how small is the print in the CKG digest?
I have the players handbook and that one is waaay to small for me. I let my kids use it as a reference when we play. In my opinion it's only value is as an extra copy for table use.

A C&C home made screen insert in landscape
I have one of those customizable DM screens for RPG's and I was wondering if anyone has any DM screen information for C&C done in a landscape configuration?
Thanks,
Jeff

Re: monotheism in C&C
Thanks to all for this great discussion. It's really refreshing to participate in a forum conversation without it disintegrating into bickering and posturing-cool. This discussion has been very helpful to me in my own campaign design. I will still be doing a Source vs. Darkness style conflict but I ...

monotheism in C&C
I'll admit that I had always played and GM'ed Polytheistic campaigns but as much as I loved St. Cuthbert, Uller, and all the religions available in the Forgotten Realms, I wanted something simpler for my kids. I decided to simplify my newest campaign by using David Gemmell's model from his Drenai bo...

Re: Tithing for clerics and druids
In my games the priests were expected to give at least 60%to the church or charities. Good temples give to the poor war temples give to the "old soldiers home" Thieve temples want their cut and that's that temples of artificers support the arts lawful gods have civic projects to fund natur...

Thanks for the welcome guys.
I think I'm going with Shadows of the Halfling Hall. I'll let you all know what my boys think of it. we'll play it this weekend or during this Thanksgiving break.

Trying out C&C
Hey all, I'm new to the forum and new to C&C as well. I've been looking for a fantasy game for my boys thats a little more up to date than my older 2nd edition collection but not as intimidating for them as Pathfinder. From what I see C&C may be just the ticket. I'm in the process of convert...
