You are correct. They can pick two others if human or, 1 if demi-human. That is why they get to choose, customization. You are also correct to point out that if a player wants a more flexible character, play a human...

Re: Pocket Game Master released!

Just downloaded the demo to have a play with it on my Archos 70IT. Looks really good, nice and polished. Just a couple of quibbles though: On a tablet, the forced Portrait mode is a bit of a pain; what are the chances of a landscape version? Whilst I appreciate that the Demo is just that, a Demo; I...

Re: High Level Monsters for C&C adventure - 24th level+

Ok, now that I have a few moments... The Titans as listed on page 92 in Of Gods and Monsters are absolutely brutal. I haven't played God of War, but I'm sure you could use them as a base to start from. Here is a snippet of their stats- Size: Huge (100' tall) [Huge that is beyond gargantuan! HD: 30d...

Re: How to deal with "hordes"

All those factors are already accounted for. IE: The number of opponents a shield can be used against, dex bonus to AC not useful when attacked from behind, etc. However, one could say that even from the front, dex to AC becomes useless above a certain # of attacks. But, that doesn't ADD to an attac...

Quite correct. And, they didn't put them in the core game rule books.

Most people I know that play C&C switched to it to get away from endless small rules. YMMV though. :)

That type of rule, often, makes no sense. "Horde" or not, if only 2 can hit at your character in a round, the number behind them makes no difference whatsoever.

Re: Pocket Game Master released!

Couple of Q's.

Save up to 20... What format and can I save more if I dump to external drive?

The maps, can they be saved as a jpg or other compatible format for printing/storing via a PC?

Thanks. Looks like a good pgm.

Re: Stacking Rules

So your saying these things "stack"? I can go with that. Just want to make sure there were no rules anywhere clarifiying such things. I just go by what the PHB says. +3 vs. arcane spells and, +2 vs. fear saves. I couldn't find a rule contradicting the racial section. I searched for the wo...

Lost mine LONG ago. The 1st Ed was '79 and noted that it was compatible with Hargrave's Arduin. It had 14 or 15 spell levels. 2nd Ed (1980) didn't note that.

Re: New spell: Lithoglass

Very nifty. Though i think 4th level is appropriate. It is permanent after all. You could see what's in the next room of every dungeon, or you could be in a castle where everyone can see out but no one see in. There's potential to completely reverse a lot of surprise situations, due to it's one-way...

Klippe Konkret's Elemental Construction Spell

Researched thousands of years ago by the great Dwarven Elder, Klippe Konkret, this spell is a VERY closely guarded secret of the dwarves.

Re: The OGL and C&C

Actually, I had been a little curious as to this point as well. Is there a SRD somewhere? I believe the books do clearly define what is in the OGL in their licensing section, but I had not seen anything spelled out in a separate document. To my knowledge, TL's hasn't opened up any of its I.P. via a...

Thinking on this a bit more...should the material of the spell be magical in nature or what, how then does the spell function? I ask because I started thinking on how PCs might use it to peek into an enchanted chest or magically sealed sarcophagus and the like. It would seem that if it doesn't work...
