C&C Eternal Champion / Moorcock

<t>Im a vast fan of Michael Moorcock, and his Eternal champion stuff (elric, hawkmoon etc etc)<br/> <br/> I rather enjoy Chaosiums BRP system, and the Stormbringer RPG, but I cant help but wonder if C&C might not also work well, for an eternal champion based thing. You could borrow liberally fro...

I like Reaper's paints a lot. Vallejo is good too.

GW paints arent bad at all, but Reaper tends to last me longer for the same cost.

10 and 15 would seem good options for a more heroic game. Likewise letting 20's always work (which I pretty much assumed in any event)

<t>Well, we played through our first adventure and it went like a beauty. Just like playing AD&D, but with no worry about looking things up. Im sold <br/> I decided to finally break out my original AD&D Forgotten Realms box set, and use that. For monsters, my oAD&D monster books. I didnt...

<t>overall, what WOTC does or does not do, have no impact on my gaming. The games I have settled on buying and supporting are Castles&Crusades, GURPS (at least for books that I find cool), Warhammer roleplay, and, possibly Runequest, depending on what the new book does, that 3e didn't.<br/> <br/...

<t>That thread mirrors a friend of mine, who is a big 3.5 D&D guy, and general WOTC fanboy (mind, i dont count the word fanboy as a negative slur. Im a Chaosium and Warhammer FRP fanboy myself )<br/> <br/> I guess to legitimize your own hobby, you have to find something to crap on, to make it va...

Normally, I dismiss anything said by Dancey out of hand, but in this case he is propably raising a good point. But then, outside of WOTC's Marketing department, who cares ?

I'd be tempted to just let each player pick one or two "background" skills that they are good at. When doing stuff involving these, that warrants a dice roll (important distinction), they get a +2 or whatever.

So you might be good at building boats and herding cows, or whatever

I have an ancient copy of some Metamorphosis Alpha stuff lying around too. Wouldn't be an overly hard thing to convert, I'd wager

Since Monks can use a magic weapon if they find one, just not a lot of the common types, I'd personally limit it to be just "counts as +1 for purposes of being able to hurt the critter"

C&C Gamma World

This struck me earlier today, while reading some years old issues of Dragon.. have anyone done anything as far as a C&C based Gamma World game ? It could only rock..

And I realized the monk movement is on the chart in the book. I completely overlooked that

Rolling stats ?

<t>The book recommends 3D6, arrange to taste. Im sure grognards do 3D6 in order (if you're truly old school, your Referee rolls for you )<br/> <br/> I've thought of something like the 4D6 drop lowest, but rolled in order. Rolling stats in order tends to result in characters that you wouldnt normally...

Hey all, and some questions

<t>Just came aboard the crusade. Im a big fan of oAD&D and Basic/Expert D&D, but C&C seems to do all that, but at the same time be easier, nicer and have a lot of neat options, without going into "attacks of optimized opportunity" land.<br/> <br/> So far, I dont have the monster book, as...
