I'm second guessing this one for myself with a bunch of different questions:
1) It sounds like a good idea but do I really need one big book?
2) Behind the one big book, if I can wait until September 2018, why buy it now.
3) They have a lot of work in their queue.

1) Print the PDF because the map is in the middle of the book (i.e., print the map)
2) The names and history are involved.

I'm a dead-tree sort of gamer. But I don't like carrying around a dozen books at all. I enjoyed some of the materials but was not interested in the system. I just found (now LOST again) a Palladium book with fortresses in the back of it that I was going to use (I bought it long ago and never used it and recently found it).

I like the idea. I think a wink and a nod to a player they would understand it's cool now and again but once it becomes 'habit' - then not so much.

I like it. I think it could work well. 2E AD&D had Players Options: Skills & Powers and the clerics had a huge amount of points and allowed them to do almost anything. This seems more restrictive (which is good).
