<t>Didn't notice a second moderator.<br/> <br/> I wrote a flame accussing our friends of trying to needle someone into being scolded or even banned by the moderators...'what fun, what an accomplishment'...but deleted it. It made me feel better just to express myself. 8)<br/> <br/> I think I'll delet...

I'm off to check it again. I have noticed what a cool character you are on a number of forums. Me, I'm not big on debate. Discussion, yes. Of mutual interests.

<t>The other day I talked my wife into rolling up a character for C&C. First I tried it as the book said, but with three sets the highest number rolled was 11, with the majority being 7-9. So I let her use 4D6 drop low. Results; 17, 17, 16, 13, 12, 11. We now have the choice of character roll-up...

<t>I find it intensely irritating that the moderator went along with him. There was no substantive difference in the tone, except for a distinctive air of superiority on the other side. Maybe the whole point of the thread, from the beginning, was to needle someone badly enough to do what he just did...

<t>The quality of the books is drawing me, and now the atmosphere on this forum as well. I picked up the M&T and was impressed, then the 2nd printing PHB, and yesterday got a look at Castle Zygyg (spelling?). That is a pretty book. I am nearly through the PHB and like what I am reading. A lot. S...

A Texas....dwarf?
Although I have to admit, you do sound like both a Texan and a dwarf.

Oh, I don't know, DangerDwarf, I sort of prefer to think of Walker and his buddies as being low on wisdom. After all, what is the point of pissing people off over their choice of a game, for gods sake? And just as a pastime at that, so far as I can tell. Not worth worrying about.

Trying to reason with some of those guys is about as productive as bailing out a sinking Titanic with a teaspoon. I was just over there and had to exercise some SERIOUS willpower to keep from flaming Walker.

<t>I had the 1st, and was so upset with the editing and so on I gave it away. <br/> Picked up a copy of the 2nd printing and the M&T at a local store a couple of days ago and fell in love. Should have paid more attention to the content and less to the cosmetics first time I looked, I guess. I am...

Thanks for the heads-up. I have mixed feelings. It seems like part of the charm of the show was the crude effects, but I have watched the episodes many a time wondering what the show would look like with updated effects...now I get to find out. I'll definitely give it a look.

<t>No, Treebore, you were NOT out of line. I fear that a couple of the posters were doing no more than baiting, so no amount of polite discourse will make any difference, but someone who comes in neutral might come away influenced by the nature of the posts on one side or another, so...diplomacy wou...

<t>I just registered this morning, and am saying 'hi' to all here. <br/> C&C looks like a nice simple system and that is usually the type of rpg that appeals to me, although I am used to a different kind of game otherwise. I have registered here for the time being because I am planning to try to...
