<t>Isn't the best solution just to be very, very careful about what you allow in the treasure awards, and make it costly to enchant their own stuff? The responsibility always lies with the GM, er, CK, in any case. I am sure not going to add too many rules and conditions. It's not easy to pick and ch...

<t>I intend to use the old Bard games' Atlantis rulebook, the Arcanum, for a lot of filler material, and it has a rule that states, and I quote, 'In the Atlantean system, an individual may never carry or wear more than seven magic items on his person at a given time'. It goes on to state that scroll...

Glad to hear you say that, because I don't like to hand out much of that sort of thing. It makes me hopeful the game isn't so intricately tied up with the stuff PCs have, like tetsnbn.

I know that, but I saw a houserule that I liked about it around here somewhere.

Maybe it was at Dragonsfoot. I have been in a lot of C&C forums the last few days.

Speaking of which, didn't someone post a houserule around here about how to stack helmets with armor? I remember seeing something like that, now I can't find it again.

I like this. Two questions.

How fast do you recover points?

and, to make sure I have it right, a 2nd level Wizard with INT 15 and CON 12 would be 15x2 plus 4x1= 34 spell pts.?

Combat options

<t>Treebore, thanks for your suggestions concerning translating Stormbringer style combat spot rules to C&C style resolution. I am going to give it a try, and would like to start a dialogue here to kick the idea around some, maybe it could turn into something useful. I am not doing this at rpg.n...

I saw it yesterday as well, and it was pretty good. The strobe like montage sequences I found to be unpleasant. Otherwise a worthy addition to the series.

I couldn't resist. I DID try to stay calm.

The part that really irks me is the 'they like it because they can't bear to part with that OLD game' stuff. That and 'heartbreaker', like a red flag in front of a bull.

Sorry, I forget how to do that. It is at rpg.net, on the D20 forum, on the first page. The title is 'why the variable experience charts in C&C' or something like that.

I'll ask my wife to teach me how to post a link later, unless someone here posts it meantime.

<t>I guess I have joined the Crusade, as you guys say. I jumped in a thread over at rpg.net where some 3.5 fan was racking C&C over the coals about the variable experience charts. After resisting my impulses for a while I joined in the discussion, and I am expecting a flame party as soon as said...

Simple resistance table, a la BRP. With a difference of 10 or more, low guy has no chance to win, grades off nice, simple and easy to use.
