Clerics are ok in the right setting, but I'd prefer to play a Druid. Played one recently and had a great time of it...

I'm thinking about former Marine Special Ops, focus on international relations and languages. Expert in wilderness survival skills. Still vague, but I'll fill it in. I'll shoot you a PM about this weekend.

Re: The coolest organization in fantasy rpgs worlds.
I like the original version of the Circle of Eight, not the Roger Moore garbage. Not much was done with the Hierarchs, but there's a lot to work with. I'm not a huge Forgotten Realms fan, I like the idea of the Harpers. The organization was well fleshed out, and since I usually play a Ranger, the co...

B2 KOTB. There are so many different ways that module can be played. It makes for a great starting point in any campaign.

Re: So Steve sucks at promoting TLG ...
I'd say, to increase the C&C ground game , we need to take that phrase quite literally by offering cool Castles and Crusades T-Shirts . C&C needs more public visibility. People with eye-catching t-shirts are walking billboards... and hence traveling advertisements. This would help draw inte...

Re: What are you reading?
Started reading Empire of Imagination, the Gygax biography. So far it's a really interesting read. The novel-like tone is a bit off-putting at first, but the author sounds like he really did his research. I'm reading it now and so far, so good! :) Yeah, I really liked this, I burned through it in j...

So true Serleran. My players just encountered some "whisps" that ignore armor. The tank couldn't believe he was hit multiple times with his 21 AC... in true Monty Python fashion, they ran away fast.

Re: What is needed in between adventures?
Captain_K, The 5 things you list are definitely at the top. However, if the campaign is really playing with backstories, the time in between adventures can be used to flesh them out. Do the characters have family they need to see? Report to their local lord / clerical superior / employer on somethin...
