Re: Deck of Many Things ~ your experiences as CK or PC

I was happy to draw from the deck. As Rigon said: it was sure to make things interesting. I decided that even if the results were bad I wouldn't care much. I don't have all that investment in a level 2 character. The result? So good. My gnome druid will be the cutest evil wraith ever. I would love t...

No problem at all. That was our usual quitting time anyway! There will be many cool toys for you all to find. Just hope you didn't flag out of boredom.
I had one regret: I didn't get to play the will-o'-the-wisp! ;)

Re: Great Scimitar, 6th Printing

Right. So I allowed Penny's gnome druid to wield a great scimitar (at full specs) . . Aergraith, did I also allow her to use a shield?? Uh, oh?? LOL! Whew, I can breath easy. I allowed her char to wield the great scimitar one handed and she has a shield in the other hand! "Hell hath no fury li...

Roll 20 experiencing technical difficulties

Went to work on my game but all images are gone. The Roll20 team is aware of the problem and working on it but heads up, players. I might have to cancel tomorrow's game. I'll give advance warning in case you want to make other plans.

Re: Expedition to the Barrier Peaks

Forgot how elaborate the fate point rules are . . but they are cool, and will be very useful I'm sure! Ah. Ok then. I stand corrected. I will go practice my ominous SAVE OR DIE voice now. haha It is a wall of text. =P I know you all have put a lot of work into your characters so they are ther...

Re: Expedition to the Barrier Peaks

I've got two votes for playing as the game was intended and I hear some hesitation from Rhuvein. I decided to drop the luck point which would be pretty much useless but each player will start with 10 fate points he can spend or horde. Details are on a handout in the game. So far I -think- I'll be re...

Re: Expedition to the Barrier Peaks

Players.

This module contains save-or-die situations. Most of the games we have played have been much more civilized and I wasn't sure how people might react to the possibility of character death.

We can play as is or if you prefer I can nerf the SAVE OR DIE situations.

Discuss. ;)

Re: Expedition to the Barrier Peaks

Expedition to the barrier peaks is probably my favorite published adventure ever. It is challenging in the right ways without being impossible. When I ran it as part of my homebrew campaign back in the early 90's, the players did something I never would have expected, and it changed the course of m...

Re: Expedition to the Barrier Peaks

Looking good! Please check your Roll20 character sheet to see the magic items I gave you. Be aware that horses might have trouble entering let alone proceeding through this dungeon. You might not want to count on using one. Just saying for your benefit. I think there is not a +1 damage on a ranged w...

Anything goes. If you don't have a healer I'll tweak as required.

So far we have a half-ogre magic user and a dwarven monk. There will be humanoids at arms at the entrance that you can try to recruit.
