Also we as a group or Rob as a Gm needs to decide how it functions as Critical hits with death effects (instant Kills) were not written as part of the game as a whole - it is all HP damage unless it is a FoD attack or other magical effect

I think we decided that it did function last night... the reason being that it is an all out death effect not a loss of HP

It also makes sense that it would work.

Also the wording in the Magic item guide is a littler different than the srd and it is not a direct port.
