PHB of Exalted Deeds

<t>The Amazons delivered my C&C PHB 2nd Printing today. Korgoth is pleased! I like what I'm seeing. This is fantasy roleplaying from the good old days... but cleaned up and improved.<br/> <br/> I like the way the bard class is handled: a normal class (unlike 1st ed), and more of a skald than the...

<t>Just some random barbarian musings:<br/> <br/> While I see the point of C&C having its own identity, and that's surely a good thing, the reason I took the plunge was a combination of D20 Fatigue and a desire to use all of my old BECMI and 1st & 2nd ed AD&D materials without having to ...

<t>I think of Metropolis by Fritz Lang. Korgoth of Barbaria is the best cartoon ever.

But perhaps Korgoth is biased!

I particularly appreciated the old school heavy metal soundtrack intruding at various points. That pushed it over the line from "funny" to "classic".

<t>Something I thought might work, which is a house rule I made up for older editions of D&D and Gamma World 1st ed.: instead of adding your STR bonus to damage, you add the amount by which you hit... so if you rolled 5 over the number needed to hit, you do +5 damage.<br/> <br/> This means that ...

New to the Crusade

<t>Based off of reviews and posts I've read online, I took the plunge and ordered the C&C PHB 2nd printing off of Amazon. It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm excited.<br/> <br/> Mainly, I'm interested in the game because I want something lighter and quicker than 3.X, that preserves the Old School fee...
