Re: Spell resistance rule

Well. I'm going to swirl the tea in the pot some more and chime in with what I just got from Steve. He's had a busy couple days and hasn't had a chance to look in here. But apparently the SR question came up in a game. Seems the wording needs to change. Should be "roll greater than the listed SR num...

Re: CKG: poor print quality?

I've got one of the earliest hardcover CKGs produced, and the print in mine is just fine. No problems. Steve gets several hundred emails a day, so sometimes he takes a bit to answer. The other option is to pick up the phone and call the office 501- 680 6597 during the week days (9-5). Its virtually...

Re: Just got Gods and Monsters not sure what to think

I just received my digest version Gods and Monsters. I have some questions. How gets the granted powers? Can you get the granted powers of multiple gods. All the granted powers seem way way to powerful. It is funny that the author refers to the Boxer rebellion and the ghost dance as the power of fa...

Well, statistically, less than 5% of the population are ambidextrous. So you could always roll a percentage to see if a given character has such an innate talent. :)

This might interest some folks. Remember the Mazes and Monsters movie? Well, once upon a time, someone did a fan made rpg based on the mention of stats in the film.

Re: Kindle version of the Players Handbook

Once you have both the PHB and M&T on Kindle with working TOC would you guys be able to list the size of both of them together. I've been foolish and have about 99% of my Kindle full with 300+ books (half of them are collections however, like the complete Robert Howard). Want to know if I can squee...

Re: Wishlist: C&C Rogue's Gallery

Its something I've actually been talking over with Steve for a while actually. I thought this would make a neat sort of art book, something akin to Larry Elmore's Women of the Woods book. Art, background stories, and stat blocks.

Re: Kindle version of the Players Handbook

Well, I finally solved this idiotic export problem to epub I was having with the M&T. As usual, it was something stupidly simple that took a lot of looking in the wrong place to find. Isn't that one of Murphy's Laws? But, in short, this book ought to be ready to be kindlefied by early next week. I'v...

*snorts* I happened to like all those movies. Course, I'm not that fussy. But in any event, the above was just an idea for a possible campaign setting theme. :)

Re: StarSIEGE: Event Horizon Relaunch

Peter Bradley came up with a good name for this Relaunch, calling it Reloaded or something or the other. This sounds like a Western type of relaunch. Wonder if there is a more spacey type word one could use. Should think on it. Ha! What about Relaunch! *snorts* Steve has a memory like a sive....

Re: Adventurer's Backpack for C&C

Not entirely sure what Steve has in mind for this myself, but the best I can figure is that its a kind of CKG for the player. But, since Steve is writing it, its more than likely going to be long on philosophy, and short on mechanics. Me and Steve think alike on a number of things when it comes to a...

I find one thing above all most useful for running games at conventions, or anywhere really. Let the players do most of the work. Its simple really, drop a few enticing hints about things, and just sit back and smile mysteriously. Players will be quite inventive at coming up with the why of things. ...

Re: The problem with the Siege Engine?

I have a feeling most people don't use the challenge rating(or whatever they're called)at all except in exceptional cases. This is more or less how it should be done. Rolls really aren't needed save in the case of the exceptional (pass or fail). Yes, over all, the challenge may equate to party leve...

Regarding the dress code, the site you pulled this from Pete fell into the same trap almost every modern reader of Barsoom falls into: changing definitions of words. In the article it mentions that Dejah Thoris was nude throughout the book, because of a line in the book noting that she was bare. Pr...
