Re: The digest sized core books . . in a box??
All 5 of them together make up a space about 6w x 9h x 4 inches thick. I know this because my mom is looking at making leather pouches/bags to put them in.

Re: What I did to the illisionist spell list
Why stop at spells? How about killing all the classes and making one customizable class. Than nuking all the monsters and treasure, and replacing them with quick generator charts. All that would make C&C a real sandbox RPG. Already did something that, bout a decade or more ago with my AD&D ...

Re: What I did to the illisionist spell list
I'm fiddling with a system that simply strips away all the 'spells' of the illusionist. Instead, the spells are replaced by abilities like Illusion. Wherein the player can just invent whatever effect they want. Level and details all affect the believability of the illusion. Another ability might be...

Re: Curse of the Khan
Question for Casey/The Trolls: Is "Curse of the Khan" tied into any of the prior "Khan" modules (Tomb, Temple, and Dungeons)? Its actually those three modules combined into one book, and done for C&C. They used to be 3E modules. Ah, ok. My purchases the other night at All Th...

I'll be there selling art and C&C books. I'll see if I can prod Steve into sending someone out to run games. Or find someone there willing to do so.
Not sure what sort of time I'll have since I generally end up doing lecture panels.

Re: Crusader 24
Haha. Funny. I'd also like to mention that I love the cover of this issue. Pete Bradley's artwork really gives C&C a certain feel to it, that is slightly different than other fantasy RPGs. But honestly, this cover art is wasted on the Crusader. This piece NEEDS to be on a book about terrible, d...

Similar effect as above, but the random object, person or creature suddenly becomes an object o...

I moved Combat dominance to first level. And gave it to the Ranger as well
Course, I also use multi attacks in my game, and a lot of other hold overs from the AD&D days.

Re: What's your order number for the CKG?
Its all a matter of time spent. Quality depends on the time put into the pictures. I think Dreamie did all three of those in under 2 hours. I surely cant do that. :) Some of those pictures I did took 2-3 hours. The more polished ones, that both myself and Elmore did, took in the range of 48-60 hours...

Re: What's your order number for the CKG?
I would never guess that based on what is in this book. The one thing I will say about their work is that it does seem to convey a raw kind of energy that adds to the "life" of what was done, but other than that the work is so raw looking it really jars with the finished and polished look...

Re: What's your order number for the CKG?
One thing I have to say, and I am sorry it is negative. There is one artist used that has no business being used in the same book as Bradley and Elmore. Especially when it is so jarringly... different. It is unfair to them, and it also brings down the over all artistic look of the book. In my opini...

Heh. Trouble with most of the typical critique one sees on the various gaming fora is that its done entirely the wrong way. If someone has a particular problem with a product, contact the publisher directly. Or come to their web forums and state your case, calmly and rationally. Going off to some ob...

Its interesting to note that, in all the posting back and forth going on, that more than a few of the defenders of TLG are publishers themselves.
