I always thought that the Duchy of Karameikos was set in Eastern Europe. This was detailed for original DnD and for Second Edition, in Gazateer 1 and a boxed set which name eludes me at the moment....

That would be great I want to start making some notes and putting this together, looks like the Ranger will serve as the template.

I have a player who wants to play something like this, I seem to remember a kit from 2E and I think there was a prestige class like this for 3.X. Has anyone done anything like this yet?
