Okay, movie over. Whew.

Now I just have to make it through the Hannah Montana with Jonas Brothers episode on next. Its sad; I realize I know more about whats happening in the kiddie pop world than I do with adult music.

Different strokes for different folks. I liked Sinistar, my friends liked Defender. I don't begrudge anyone their fun. (Well, most anyone.)

I figure that we'll be here for the folks that want to remember their character by what they did, not what was on their character sheet.

The price of being a cool dad? My hearing.

<t>For those who don't p*ete*n girls, the premiere High School Musical 2 just started (CST). And here I am, with the TV blasting, and a collection of 7 and 8 year old little girls screaming - like it was 1964 and the Beatles were on the Ed Sullivan show or something. Not only are they over to watch ...

<t>Heh. We actually didn't try it for that first session - we used the standard d20. (I think that was buried in the text of my post). My reservations about making non-prime rolls more difficult were theoretical only (and based off an the usual 18 CB, not my house-ruled 16). <br/> <br/> More theory:...

<t>I think you'll see the same kind of phenomena that happened with 3x: big marketing push that will again focus the spotlight on D&D, and by extention RPGs. New people will start to play, old players ("lapsed" players) will start playing again (like me), and when they tire of rules bloat, power...

Thinking more about it, the flip side of either of those systems is that it punishes lower AC monsters ... and PCs. Wizards, Illusionists, low level Monks and various others get a proportionately bigger short end of the stick (as it were) with the move to the curve.
