A great majority of the 1e/2e monster names (with 3E stats) were opened with the publication of Tome of Horrors. Unfortunately, each one requires a separate attribution in section 15 (eyes glazing over) so it can result in multipage OGL listings if you use more than a handful.

I've been considering this one carefully, even though my game doesn't start until the end of summer. I'm leaning towards only counting the three highest magical "plusses" (ie armor, shield, misc), plus one for each additional item that gives magical bonuses to AC.

Might be an SRDism - beasts were taken out as redundant in the shift from 3.0 to 3.5, with all beasts either becoming animals or magical beasts.
