<t>My FLGS more or less sucks. It did let me put up a flyer advertising for players, so I guess it doesn't totally suck. How lame is its collection? It didn't even have the 4E books when 4E was released. Just a lot of 3.X crap at full price. And a bunch of junk I don't want in banker's boxes on the ...

In my campaign, a paladin could execute an evil humanoid prisoner without any alignment consequences. Lawful good does not equal lawful stupid. In my campaign world (and I suspect most others), the death penalty is something ordinary.

I took a gander at the spell last night. My inclination is to rule that each stone loses its magical properties after it is fired at a target. The druid can make as many as she wants.

Great concept for a movie/series, but the script sucked. Very poorly executed movie. I'm glad I waited to rent it on video. I would have been moderately pissed if I had paid full admission price at a theater.

<t>I think only putting 1 HD monsters in the first level of a dungeon is a little too rigid. A party of 6 1st level characters should be able to tackle one or two 3 hit dice monsters. There's no need to make them go down two flights of stairs before springing the 3 HD baddies on them. The trick is t...

My understanding is that there will not be an official rule concerning multiclassing. The rumors about the CKG suggest most likely more than one method will be included (but those are old rumors!).

If someone plans to actually use the book rather than just collect it, the current bid of $11 for the lot is very reasonable. I think I paid around $45 for my mint copy of the Rules Cyclopedia last year on eBay.

<t>My advice concerns application of the SIEGE engine. In case you haven't gotten to it yet, the SIEGE engine is a rule mechanic that helps you determine whether characters are successful when they attempt something challenging with a significant chance of failure. When using the SIEGE engine, the C...

I liked Dragons of Airhde: Miasmal Wyrms. It let me throw some dragon-like creatures at a first level party without the guarantee of a TPK. I went with unk wyrms, nasty little critters who vomited on the party and use illusions.

I'm fine with the explicit if it's done better than Laurell K. Hamilton's prose. If I want erotica, I want good erotica.

Wow. I had heard she was heavily involved in the editing process, but I didn't realize she was involved enough in the writing to be considered a coauthor.
