I really liked Dark Sun. Grim, gritty stuff with a real old-school swords & sorcery feel. One of the few things TSR did right in the 90s. Of course, they still managed to screw it up later when the radically messed with the world in the supplements... Sigh.

I may just use the AD&D version of the armor (half weight and no extra bonuses except possibly a nonmagical +1 for superior craftsmanship unless further enchanted). Same thing with mithril weapons.

Looking for Aihrde/Erde info.

The main TLG website has links to preview PDFs for the Erde stuff, including a free Gazetteer, but the links don't seem to lead anywhere.

I'm trying to get a "feel" for the world in order to determine whether it would suit my campaigning purposes.

Anybody?

No new edition of C&C ever?

I've heard a rumor to this effect and I personally hope it's the truth!

There's a lot of wisdom in not fracturing your game's player base with countless editions and upgrades (the way D&D/AD&D have traditionally been handled).

Perhaps combine fighter and wizard into a single class (adding the XP for each new level together)? Maybe with a 1d8 hit die?

She'd advance slow, but it would accomplish the same thing without "multiclassing."
