Matthew wrote: I have never really understood the purpose of Multi Classing. It just makes more sense to me to build a separate class to fulfil the role. It just so happens that smooshing one or more existing classes together is the easiest way to do that. Remember, the Elf was the original multicl...

Another elven chainmail question.
<t>I was under the impression that elven chainmail is equal to regular chainmail with a +4 magical bonus and and EV 1.<br/> <br/> This would add-up to a total AC bonus of +9 (assuming a +5 AC chain hauberk with the magic bonus applied) .<br/> <br/> However, since the entry says that the armor is mad...

Looking for Aihrde/Erde info.
The main TLG website has links to preview PDFs for the Erde stuff, including a free Gazetteer, but the links don't seem to lead anywhere.
I'm trying to get a "feel" for the world in order to determine whether it would suit my campaigning purposes.
Anybody?

No new edition of C&C ever?
I've heard a rumor to this effect and I personally hope it's the truth!
There's a lot of wisdom in not fracturing your game's player base with countless editions and upgrades (the way D&D/AD&D have traditionally been handled).

Monsters & Treasure questions.
<t>1. Can any class use wands and staves? If not, how is usage restricted? This is fairly clear in D&D, but I can't find any mention of it in M&T, which seems to imply that they're open to all.<br/> <br/> 2. Items that refer to bonuses to "caster level checks" to overcome Spell Resistance: S...

Elven chainmail.
<t>First of all, a +9 AC bonus with no encumbrace is pretty darn lordly! <br/> But more importantly, can wizards wear it and still cast spells? In earlier editions of D&D, elven fighter/wizards were extended this ability specifically. And the C&C version has no encumbrace value at all when w...
