<t>Most appreciated review, seskis. Unfortunately, it only reinforces my previous opinion on this. If someone invites me to play a 4th edition game (an actual game and not that on-line stuff), then I'll likely happily join just for the experience/enjoyment. However, I will likely never buy a 4th edi...

Just throw a SIEGE check in there and all is good! For example: if the SIEGE check is successful (DEX), then the AC bonus applies for the Woodland Skirmisher for the remainder of the combat (Like this skill/feat by the way; good flavor for Elves, Rangers, and Druids).

Good luck! My advice is to not push it. However, if they insist on any other system, make it as painful as possible!

My advice as well. I run C&C "out of the box" (no house rules) and we have great fun. It's just nice to know that somewhere down the line, if we get tired of anything we can just add some house rules to spice things up. Enjoy!

Doesn't necessarily mean that other players have to be Pirates. I was thinking Pirate hirelings/henchmen/crew. But as you said, this isn't always feasible, so it sort of makes the ability useless.

Very cool Rab!

My only suggestion would be that the Pirate's Ferocious Attack ability should only apply to situations when he/she is in the company of other Pirates, and not so much when they are on their own. YMMV.
