<t>I chime in here. I could do without the book reviews, but I like the game reviews, particularly since they are limited to games that Jim actually likes. My wife and a lof of my friends like games, but not RPGs, so I find it interesting to hear about board games, card games, etc. that are worth ch...

<t>I just picked up a Wii for my wife for her birthday. Can anyone recommend good Wii games for couples? She particularly likes puzzle games or games kind of like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (which was a PS2 game).<br/> _________________<br/> Lord Frost<br/> <br/> Baron of the Pitt<br/> Castles &am...

<t>Just received the copy in the mail. I'm eager to dig into it. It arrived in good shape (shrink-wrapped) and fairly quickly (it was sent media mail), so if someone is considering it, seems safe to buy from that place.<br/> _________________<br/> Lord Frost<br/> <br/> Baron of the Pitt<br/> Castles...

Rules Cyclopedia - what's the hub-bub about, bub?

<t>Folks on this board seem to really like the old Rule Cyclopedia. Having never played much basic D&D, I'm curious as to why. Do you use in conjunction with C&C?<br/> _________________<br/> Lord Frost<br/> <br/> Baron of the Pitt<br/> Castles & Crusades Society<br/> The Dungeoneering Da...

Given what you had in mind, I voted for CSIO. Bard's Gate is great and I'm using it now myself, but it's more of a safe-haven for adventurers. I have Yggsburgh too, which I love, but it has same kind of feel. Both certainly have their seedy underbellies, but given what you're going for CSIO seems mo...

<t>My 2 cents<br/> <br/> I think using FLGS sales as a judge is flawed. Ive been playing D&D for over 20 years and I think Ive bought maybe six books at a FLGS in that time span (that includes comic book stores). The boarder gaming population goes to Borders, etc. for their gaming needs, most of...

I don't own a C&C screen yet, so bear with me. Are the various combat modifiers on it? E.g., higher ground, half-cover, etc.?

<t>Just to chime in on the screen, I also wouldn't find the "note" section to useful. It's one of those things that sounds useful at first, but is just to inconvenient to use (e.g., have to take down the screen, write on it, put it back up, wash, repeat). Turning undead rules are a must.<br/> ______...
