Troll's Tusk Out?

I saw on the TLG blog that a Troll's Tusk was sent out recently (including something about reduced shipping rates). Did anyone get a copy in their email? I didn't.

Re: Rappan Athuk Complete

I frickin' love this module but even I am wondering if this is worth it. I have the originals and RARE. Kind of hard for me to get too motivated to shell out cash again for it (even though the Temple of Tsoggatha bit tempts me).

Re: What gaming stuff are you reading?

I bought some of the old Judge's Guild products. I do not know what it is about the Wilderlands, but it really fills me with a sense of wonder. I agree. I was out of the loop on the JG stuff back in its prime, but have since found it and fallen in love. Honestly, I think as a kid I would have been ...

Re: Spell resistance rule

Or SR1 simply does nothing like the way it is now, which I'm totally ok with. However, some clarification could be made that the lowest effective SR is 2. I just hope they don't change the design away from the unified mechanic that resolves every other aspect of the game simply because a couple of ...

Re: Spell resistance rule

So since the SR 1 rule has been cleared up, it is just the SR 21 thing that is bothering people? Doesn't the fact that magic items can make one roll a 21 make a SR 21 "work?" EDIT: Never mind. I mis-read some points being made. There are plenty of magic items that offer SR, but none that b...

The fire causing stun seems right. It never seems to killr the slasher villians, but does seem to make them pause and flail about.

Just wish DC would release some kid-level comics that aren't in the "Word Girl" style. Marvel has comics like that, but not really any female characters that interest my girls.

Re: The New "52"

So I'm not a huge comic book guy, but did read them a good bit back in the day. At the moment, I'm most curious about Wonder Woman because my daughters (7 and 4) are interested in the character. Am I right in thinking that the new comic is still too "mature" for them? Unfortunately (and ir...

Although I own S&W Whitebox, I've only played LotFP. Not really sure I'm qualified to vote, having not read or played the rest. The S&W Whitebox is pretty neat, but C&C is my main man.

Re: Monte Cook rehired by Wizards of the Coast

Honestly, I agree with ya, Frost. I run 3.5 now, because that's what the player's want. But they know it's not what I want to run. I like 3.x/d20, but it's made me weary over the years. I've run it for the most part of the last 11 years (give or take a year or so, to run C&C) and it's been a mu...

Re: Monte Cook rehired by Wizards of the Coast

Yes, interesting indeed. Monte seems like a cool guy and I used to love me some 3e, but I'm not sure I'm on the same page as him anymore. I get the impression he likes a lot of rules, so I don't know if his arrival at WotC will likely result in any products that appeal to me. However, he seems to be...

Re: Looking for con-length C&C adventures

I've run The Crypt of Istaris (from Dungeon #9 and re-printed in Dragon #155) twice at cons. It has a 4 hour time limit, so it works great for cons. Just got a copy of Dragon #155 from Troll and Toad for $2 to get a hold of this adventure. It does seem like a good one and I'll be running it at GASP...
