Hits vs HP
<t>I'm considering lightening my load during session prep. I want it to be even easier to prep monsters than out of the box C&C, my laziness knows no bounds.<br/> <br/> I'm considering using the HD number as the number of hits needed to kill the monster. ie 1HD monsters go down in 1 hit, 6HD mon...

<t>I respectfully disagree Fiffergrund. I see no problem with a hit that causes damage not being reflected as damage in the narrative. When I DM I try to narrate a memorable, engaging, and fun story with the players. <br/> <br/> In some situations it is great to narrate a long battle by describing a...

Game schedule
We play Wednesdays, the times are not rigidly defined. For example, last week we started play around 8:30pm (GMT-6), but this week we will likely start earlier, around 4:00pm (GMT-6). I still have to get the mass email out tonight, but that looks to be the time.

Weekly Wednesday Game Needs 3-4 Players
<t>Wednesday is the day, the time is open to determination by the players (I'm free all day).<br/> <br/> Fantasy Grounds II, fully updated, is required to play. Also required is Skype, a free VOIP program.<br/> <br/> You do not need to purchase the C&C ruleset to play, but there are some benefit...

<t>Have it, love it, but unless you've got a different version than I it does not provide the kind of template I'm talking about. So, while I agree that it is a hugely useful book for designing a homebrew setting, it does not address the specific need I have.<br/> <br/> That aside, 3:7 Common Uses f...

Homebrew World Design Template
<t>I'm looking for a template for designing a homebrew world. Something that would have categories for things like maps, history, politics, magic, religion, etc. I'm hoping it would have subcategories as well.<br/> <br/> Basically I'd like something like this so that I can keep organized when making...

C&C Fantasy Grounds
<t>I know everybody here likes to roll with Open RPG and Skype, but I'm thinking of picking up a copy of Fantasy Grounds because of the sheer beauty of the program and interface. If anybody here would like to play I am thinking of getting one of the package deals which would keep the cost down for e...

<t>No worries there, my group has been wishing there were new books to buy for our game since we have all the 2e stuff we can find already If the conversion goes well there are going to be four new Troll Lords customers and one in particular who'll be eagerly buying anything with Gygax's name on it....

Converting a game in progress
<t>I would like to convert the current game I'm running from AD&D 2e to C&C. I plan on introducing this idea to my group, who have to the best of my knowledge never heard of C&C, this coming game session.<br/> <br/> I would like to know how long you think it will take to convert the char...
