Re: Prime and Secondary
I have a number of sourcebooks planned to expand and further focus different styles of play. I just need to get the Trolls on board with them. Working on it.

Re: Prime and Secondary
Another question. Why the skills, and "feats" One of the best things about C&C was not having them. Then don't use them. They are in the optional rules chapter. The game will work just fine without using backgrounds, knowledges, and Traits. These just represent another (explicitly opt...

Re: Prime and Secondary
I like the base 15 myself. The more I see of Amazing Adventure I can see it's rules showing up in the next C&C edition. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but do you always add your character level or do you not when it's secondary? The only time you don't add character level is when you are attempti...

Yeah, magic, psionics, and gadgets are not assumed to be part of the game. AA is a toolkit--use what you like and dump the rest.

Re: Prime and Secondary
I read where prime gives you a +5 and that the base is 15. 1. Why is this different from the 15 +3/-3 in the CKG? 2. Where is the part about secondary? Is it a -5? Hi, Nightstorm! Try not to overthink this--it's not that different from C&C. 1. Amazing Adventures is not Castles & Crusades an...

Re: Amazing Adventures available in stores?
Amazing Adventures shipped to distributors yesterday. So it should be available in stores in a week or two. I'm not sure if the screens and adventure are out to distributors as well, but if they're not yet I presume they will be very soon (they are done; I know that much). Remember to go to your FLG...

Kickstarter to self-publish novel (PLEASE READ!)
Hey, all, I'm doing a kickstarter to fund the self-publishing of my second novel, entitled The First Battle . This is intended to be book one in my forthcoming series, The Chronicles of Charlie Morning and Mr. Night . Here's the sales blurb from the kickstarter, and some background about me for thos...

Traits have the benefit and drawback. Backgrounds and Knowledges give you specialized bonuses.

Re: Create Fetish, Arcanist only (Generic class ability)
Serleran, I love it--especially in campaigns that use the Sanity rules. Work something in where fetishes carry some sort of SAN cost with them...that'd be horrific and awesome.

Neat ability, but I'd be more inclined to build a new class around it...if it's restricted to Arcanists only, it kind of defeats the purpose of being a Generic Class Ability...

IMO, an excellent resource for any gamemaster running a plup game is Lester Dent's Master Fiction Plot For those not in the know, Lester Dent was the creator and primary writer for the Doc Savage series of pulp novels. Amazing Adventures specifically references Dent's Master Fiction Plot in the GM ...

Re: Amazing Adventures: Differentiating Pulp, Modern, & Fant
I actually was just discussing sword and sorcery with my gaming group yesterday. I'd have to sell the Trolls on this, but I wouldn't mind doing a C&C/AA crossover sourcebook to cover sword and sorcery pulp. I also want to do a "modern pulp" book at some point that would bring the AA ru...

Re: Using a Damage Save instead of AC?
Sounds like an interesting idea. I'd be curious to hear how it works in actual play. Although, to keep things standardized, if I were to do something like this the base difficulty would be 15 + monster HD (standard SIEGE check difficulty), with the check being a standard Dex SIEGE check, adding AC b...

Re: Does, or does not, AA need a Meta setting?
I personally am against a meta-setting for Amazing Adventures. The specific design goal was to be able to use it to run any kind of pulp you like. It's designed as a toolkit game without specific setting-based assumptions. That being said, there will be something more akin to meta-settings in the va...

Re: [Amazing Adventures] Suggestions for Class and a Half?
My own recommendation would be for Pugilists and Arcanists not to be able to multiclass with anyone, as these two classes require a lifetime of devotion on the part of the practitioner. Anything else would be fair game.

Re: Love to see "Amazing Adventures in Space"
I think it'd be cool to do a sci-fi sourcebook for AA, covering things like It Came from Outer Space, Flash Gordon, etc.
But I'm not sure what the plans are for StarSIEGE and I don't want to step on the toes for that particular project.

Re: Amazing Adventures: Classes
I'm thinking I need to add two classes. One is the mastermind Class. Think bard, but people actually listen to what he has to say. This way I can stat up the crew From leverage and the A-team as pulp heroes. And got a class for Hannibal and Nate. The Socialite fills this role, if you look. It has a...

Sorry if I came across as challenging you--not my intent. It's just strange that it wasn't included. I do know that Pete got it all in there, and it should be incorporated into the print version, so I presume the PDF will also be updated.
