Re: Planescape with class-less D&D

Does the modron have to do that? Did it lose its neutral alignment? The horror. In its defence it did advocate for the disassembly of more than one defective unit. As for assisting the survivors, that was just a subroutine for its profession of Search and Rescue bot. It was -just- following orders ...

Re: Planescape with class-less D&D

You can set your characters on the path towards Good alignments, with the following costs: - Modron Unit 9 will lose contact with Primus and become classified as a "Rogue Modron". - Kalaszar will need to switch to a god of Good alignment. Luckily, Gilean won't send any punishment squads f...

The experience table is per skill. You will need 10 skills at level 2 to advance your experience level.

Ding. Level 2

I didn't twig into the idea that we were building/losing faction reputation. I like that aspect very much.

Are we starting tomorrow?

And forgive these questions if you have already answered but can you give any hints about how we might all meet and where the action will begin? (If that is a secret, no problem.)

Getting ready to run this module for my nephews tonight using Labyrinth Lord. It will be their first PnP roleplaying experience. A thought (one which I won't be bringing up in tonight's game) has just occurred to me - could Rogahn and Zelligar have been gay? I dunno why, but reading the introductio...

Except that Lurker's girls are 10 and 8 1/2 - and if even if they are precocious, your advice is way over their heads! :P My son started playing at 8 and soon after made his first adventure. My day job was teaching. I know what elementar...

I hope we can agree to disagree. Adding an NPC is an easy solution and if you are really busy and want to take shortcuts then I totally get it. But any problem that can be solved by adding an NPC to the party is better dealt with through responsive design. Because ... the most important thing to con...

Re: Advice and encouragement needed in picking up the ole du

Totally agree with Aergraith, the character backgrounds will develop naturally as part of the action. For developing a scenario, take your cues from your girls rather than your own experience. Watch them as they play pretend and take note of what themes and settings they tend to explore on their own...

Amable watched the others loot Beryn's body. What would I take from this fellow? I will take a mind picture of his battle joy. And try to forget the cloud of foul words that always hung about him. His words flew as furiously as his weapon.

Does anyone else want to try something like this or maybe you have a different adventure goal? Your characters are always free to decide what they want to do, and I am glad to hear suggestions for your mid-to-long term goals. Consequences, though, are less under the party's control, so Mercutio and...
