I finished reading the soft cover version of the new PH and now I'm ready to start my first C&C campaign.

For the first time in my 20+ years of DM'ing I am going to run a campaign from mostly published materials. This will be interesting since I am used to creating my own worlds, plots, and adventures.

So, after finishing reading the PH, I read the first adventure that my group will be playing through... A1 - Assault on Blacktooth Ridge. I really liked it. It has enough going on to last a few gaming sessions for new characters... and it's got a lot of promise for moving into new directions once the characters have finished all the possibilities within the module.

A1 was a fun read... and I actually read it twice in one sitting so that I would get a real good grasp of it before playing this weekend.

I am also reading the After Winter's Dark campaign setting, as that's where this new campaign is going to take place.

All good stuff!!! Thanks to Troll Lord Games for creating a terrific game and a great set of supporting materials!

After finishing my DS adaptation and putting those materials away for a little bit, I've decide to reread my Kingdoms of Kalamar boxed set.

Dark Heresy - Inquisitor's Handbook - The Ultimate Player's Guide

I got this one as a reward for my GM/ST/DM/CK'ing in Ropecon 2009.

Whew, it surely is jam-packed with 40K goodness!

I have planned to get the game itself, although it looks like little rules-heavy. I'd surely like to GM a game or few in the world of 40K.

There are plenty of 40K-aficionados (Praise the Emperor!) in my gaming group (including me), so I guess I'll have to take the plunge sooner or later.

The rules are not as bad as you think. Its all fairly intuitive.

It was more like an impression I got at first glance, not a judgement.

The book surely looks lovely and I love the amount of detail they've crammed into its pages.

40KRPG for the win! Now if I could only play in a game...

T1: Village of Hommlet, T1-4: The Temple of Elemental Evil, many Greyhawk source books, and fora on both Canonfire and Dragonsfoot. I am running T1-4 as of last month and want to make sure I have much of the background in my head to run a richly detailed game.

So far, so good - and so fun!

Discovered an RPG Sale at Jester's in Buffalo, New York. A bunch of books at $5.00 a pop. So I picked up the following all in new or like new condition:

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness (revised edition 8th printing, 1989) - in great condition and always wanted to check it out so for five bucks it was good deal

2. Spycraft Modern Arms Guide

3. Spycraft Shadow Force Archer campaign setting (these two I already had, but having extra helps speed character creation)

4. TLG's d20 Rob Kuntz's Dark Quest series: Dark Druids (1st printing 2002)

5. TLG's d20 The Fantastic Adventure (1st printing 2001)

6. White Dwarf 355 (August 2009)

7. Heroscape Advanced rules. I picked up the Marvel Heroscape and played several games with my niece and brother in law with the basic rules. But want to devle in a bit more.

Just one cavot - the White Dwarf Mag and the Marvel Heroscape was regular price. Some good stuff there, wanted to pick up some Judge Dread d20, but decided to wait.

I asked the guys about C&C but they didn't carry any - but were willing to special order. Jester's has always impressed me with the customer service though. Very personable and I'd defintely shop there again, of course now I'm sounding like an amazon rating so on that note:

5 stars A+++++ could have more + if they carried TLG's full product line!

Currently reading, Battletech RPG: A Time of War, Quick Start Rules. I'm very much looking forward to this next RPG Phonebook.
