So I'm thinking up some "cantrip" like spells for World of Lykarnia RPG and came up with these:
Anyone want to add to the list?
** (Rank is the level of the caster)
• Neeble’s Flicker: A sorcerer can create a light source equal to that of a small candle. This candle does not generate heat and cannot light objects on fire. The light source must be cast on organic material (such as a finger or someone’s head). The light source lasts for a number of hours equal to the caster’s rank after which it will instantly go out.
• Harod’s Distraction: A sorcerer can create a sound equivalent to that of tossing a pebble against a hard surface. The caster must be able to see the spot which the sound will be made.
• Knicker’s Marvelous Ham: A sorcerer can make any food appear to smell savoury while the sorcerer is concentrating on the task. Once the target eats the food, the food’s true nature will come to light.
• Phoebe’s Flatulence: A sorcerer can make any humanoid fart. The humanoid is allowed a Magic Challenge to not release gas. The intensity of the gas is proportional to the caster’s rank. Other than embarrassment this cantrip does nothing else.
• Daniel’s Detector: A sorcerer can surmise through magical means if an item is magical or not. This cantrip does not reveal the exact nature of the magic or if it is good or evil. It merely relates if the item is magical.
• Houdini’s Hoax: A sorcerer can existing enchantments and magic within 60 feet. Any trace of magic will glow to the sorcerer. This is different than Daniel’s Detector in that it detects magical spells in use not magical items.
• Timothy’s Dancing Rope: The sorcerer can make a piece of rope stiffen up to the rank of the sorcerer multiplied by 5 feet. The sorcerer must be holding the rope or else it will return to its normal state within a number of minutes equal to the caster’s rank.
Help w/ a list o' completely or seemingly pointless spells
